It depends on the variant of malware, We have seen the one that disables any sd boot, and the one that only allows sd secure (signed?) boot. The actual solution seems to be replacing the nand itself.
Ironically this is how the S19 comes from factory.
This is because people are lazy, miners are lazy. They didn't change the default password (root), and didn't check the ssh password either, which used to be different in older versions (admin). And when they replace it, they use something simple, that is a big no no.
Next would be allowing windows / android / typical malware infested devices on the same LAN as your miners...
So yeah, bring your windows laptop infested with malware, let it infect one miner and it will happily infect all the others.

There is no way around flashing them using an Sdcard, in fact, you are lucky your miners didn't catch the other virus that disables the bootloader and doesn't allow Sdcard flashing, someone had to get 600 control boards to get his miners back to life, so take it easy, if you can't fix the Sdcard slot simply buy a new control board, they sell for pretty cheap since they hardly fail, I give them for free where I live, sadly I can't ship them overseas or else I would have sent you some at no cost.

New sd slots to replace the broken ones, and "isopropyl alcohol + canned air" -cleaning for the dirty ones.

Why not clean it and replace a new SD card slot you can find them on old phones or gadgets with SD card slot or buy SD card slot to any online shop, I couldn't recommend ZeusBTC because the minimum amount of orders is 10 and the price is around $1.39 each.

hello everyone
as the topic says.
all my miners got infected with a virus.
i flashed most of them using an sd card.
my problem is that there is some control boards with a :-
1 - dirty sd cards slots
2 - broken sd card slots blades ( so its not working )
so i cant use their sd cards readers to flash them with an sd card.
is there any other way to flash em without their sd cards readers ?
any solution to fix this problem for me ?
