I hope failed means miner is working with older firmware? If fails i will not try. Still searching if found any one succes update for this batch (16.3.Cool i will go further because now it is works without issue.

My apologies - yes, I mean failed to upgrade, however, it's still running on the older firmware.

Antminer-S9-all-201708151137-autofreq-user-Update2UBI-NF.tar.gz
This is look like a never firmware should i upgrade ?
It is doing  very well so far 2 of them work 29.5 th/avarage

I tried to update - but it failed.  Let me know if you get it to work.  I'd be interested in knowing the boot-to-hashing times on the newer firmware.

Thanks for your time and response!

That would be the auto-tune doing its thing upon reboot.  My R4 does the same.
Indeed the previous S models (5, 7) didn't have this and start hashing much faster.

I didn't even think of that - thank you - makes perfect sense!  Cheesy

Its completely normal. I have had machines that take up to 45 minutes to start hashing after a full cold boot power cycle.

I have an S9 that's taking 10 minutes to boot to hashing.

Is this normal?   My other Sx boot much quicker.

See the hardware/file info below.

Should I attempt to update the firmware?

I'm not terribly concerned with the slow boot, but I'm more thinking it's a bad filesystem or something causing it to hang.  ?

Thanks in advance for your time and thoughts.
