Yeah, in addition, the file above needs to unzip/extract and maybe he just directly put the whole zip file into sd card without extracting the image from SD mptesfirmware T17-S17-S9K-S9SE.zip.
That's why he said "The LEDs stay On" but not flashing it means the files he put are not recognized. @Keezasa Make sure to extract the file from the zip file and copy all files from the folder you extracted including the image and paste it to the root of the SD card. Since the lights flash constantly i think the sdcard is fine, but maybe the way he puts the files on the sdcard is wrong, the files need to be in the Sdcard directory itself, not in a folder whatsoever, I see a lot of people make this mistake, if files are correctly placed then using another Sdcard is the next best move. All I want to do is underclock this PoS. Not sure if this modified firmware will allow you to underclock it, wait for thierry4wd to confirm.
Do you have any extra SD cards? Maybe your SD card is damaged or an SD card that always corrupted when transferring files.
Try to use a known working SD card and make sure to use this firmware as the guide above and make sure you push the card to the slot properly. If it doesn't work repeat the procedure remove>turn off>insert card>then turn on the miner check the lights if flashing.
So i have tried installing your firmware using SD card. Red and green light LEDs stay on. 20mins later they are still on. No difference. Doing upgrade route from web page gives me Cannot Find Signature!!!

The problem is that the API call that reads the frequency uses the bitmain-freq value from the config file, in these S9K asics the value is irrelevant if present yet the API returns this value.
Since the UI uses the API call to calculate the hashrate it gets the math wrong. removing it from the config file resolves the issue.

Why can't you post a complete image of the miner status page? you can hide the pool/worker/wallet details, some information at the top of the page is important.
Miners are supposed to be 13.5 TH/s, and that's more or less what they yield. How is GH Target calculated ?

I think it's normal, I have seen a few gears that have some weird target hashrate but as long as the actual hashrate is within normal range then all good, but that doesn't seem to be the case here with 12.5TH assuming his gear is S9k it has to be over 13th for all batches/versions unless he has a few bad chips here and there. elfarto69 how long has this miner been online for? also, what was the average hashrate on the stock firmware?

You have installed on S9K ? my mod is only compatible with S9K and maybe S9SE , any other miners...

i have tested S9SE firmware on S9K with no problem ... so you don't take a risk if you test it ... if don't work, just make my "tutorial" and flash your original S9SE firmware
