You can do this if you use paypal. You can do this anywhere. Mining is also a great option for earning profit. If you are a bitcoin investor then i think you know how to handle situation.

I used a couple of times localbitcoin and everything went great. Just pick a good buyer or put a sell order, localbitcoin store bitcoin until the seller tells then that they received the money so they pay the buyer, its easy and secure, I recommend it.

If your country is not supported those exchanges then you may go to Japan to withdraw your bitcoin. Japan or Belgium has the bitcoin ATM To cash money. But before going there, you have to learn about their tax policy.

Are you serious. Travelling to another country just to withdraw thats insane. Its favourable for citizens.
I do use Luno wallet and it pays directly to my local account.

It is a safe place to withdraw Coinbase its bitcoin exchange always needs the secure place to transfer and securely store bitcoin. Because I think bitcoin withdraw as a digital marketplace for people to buy and sell bitcoins using different currencies. The bitcoin can be exchanged for either fiat money or other alternative cryptocurrency such as Ethereum. Being able to purchase bitcoin is the initial step to trading in it.

I've heard about the bitcoin ATMs, they have some in Singapore too! Only downside to it is the charges are relatively high! thanks for the suggestion tho!

I know that many people have already pointed it out but still, I will advise trading through the localbitcoin site. I trade their weekly and I saw it first in 2013 so it is a very old and very trusted site.  Is always available even if your country Bans cryptocurrency. You can withdraw your funds at your bank at any other online service suggest PayPal or any other online wallet.

Thanks for sharing your experience jak3, really appreciate it.

Do you have any Local Bitcoin Wallet Providers in Brunei? Because if you do these local wallet providers have a bank deposit option if you want to convert your BTC into cash. So transferring your Bitcoin from the exchange to that wallet is a good alternative. Here in the Philippine we have two local wallet providers namely Coins.ph and Rebit both of which offers bank transfer options I am just hoping that Brunei will also have one as from what I know they are not strict when it comes to cryptocurrencies. Because selling your BTC in localbitcoin for newbies is really not advisable.

I will recommend coinbase as the safest place to withdraw your bitcoins. The security of the website is solid and their credibility is very high too. I think you must need KYC before you can make withdrawal.

Actually  I don't advise you store your wallet in exchange platform , even you make sure this exchange platform is very safe . The best safe way is store your coin in your local wallet . If you want to withdraw your BTC . Please do that from your local wallet .

I am using localbitcoins for last few years and it is definitely the safe place to trade Bitcoins to fiat or vice versa pairs. You can pick your convenient method of payment and proceed with their automated escrow system which is secure to execute the trade. Still, I would recommend you to go with reputed traders as you can see the reputation before opening any trade request.

Thanks for the advise Dudeperfect!

your country seems to be involved with Malaysia and Indonesia according to Wikipedia, so have you tried an exchange in one of these countries? i don't know any to suggest but you can find it on google like this: https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/indonesia/
they may even be working with the banks in your country so that you can withdraw safely to your own banks.

there are also local boards on bitcointalk you may want to visit and try to see if you can find any country-mates: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php#5

Sweet pooya87, thanks for all the info! Yeah was thinking about withdrawing to banks. Definitely a plus point if they're working together.

Do you have any local exchange there in Brunei? At least it should have in crpyto-free country. In that way no need to used global exchanges since local exchanges will support your local payment merchants there including banks. That's were doing here in my country so converting bitcoin to fiat here is not hassle. You can also consult your local crypto group if people have an idea about it.

You can also consider person 2 person trade. Well I know your doing your homework now so I guess you can make up a solution to that.

Scammers, one of the biggest problems in the market of crypto currency. especially the new investors falls for the trap of the scammers. Everyone should be extra careful while handling large amount of coins. while exchanging the coins to fiat currency the site should be checked whether it is scam or not. some sites are mentioned in the post which are useful.

Have you come across localbitcoins?

https://localbitcoins.com/sell-bitcoins-for-cash/191421308/brunei-darussalam/ (586 KM away)

Looks like there's a small volume of traders on your country even on LBC, I've seen only few orders.

Yeah, volume is pretty small here. Would it be better if say I go on a holiday trip to another country and sell it there?

This is risky, because you need to deal with the unknown. You can take a "Bitcoin" Holiday in another country, where there are more traders and trade with them, but you will not know if they are scammers before you get there. If you do this in your own country, you can take friends with you to the location where the trade will take place and you can make sure the scammer will not get away, if he or she wants to rob you.

You will also have to deal with the security and customs at the international airport, when you come back. You cannot move large amounts of money in and out of a country.

Great points there, so much to think about! Probably need to choose a country to open a bank account too..

the thing is I figure the most secure trade you could pull back is utilizing your nearby trades. On the off chance that you need to utilize a worldwide trade, at that point you most likely may utilize Bittrex or Binance. Those trades are great and have high security and sufficiently quick. Be that as it may, you should attempt localbitcoins, I figure it would suit you. Like here in the Philippines, we utilize our nearby trade to purchase a considerable measure of things beside pulling back cash.

i think the safe place is in your country, I mean in the local exchanger, because it will change the bitcoin into your local currencies, so you don't need to change it from USD into your currencies first. if your country doesn't have the local exchanger maybe you can see it directly to people with PayPal payment

Any idea on wheres the safest exchange or sites to withdraw bitcoin to fiat?

Came across bitstamp as coinmama and coinbase is currently not support in my country (Brunei Darussalam)

Surely you have a huge amount of Bitcoin to withdraw since you are worried about the exchange you are going to withdraw with. If you are going to withdraw with the top 3  exchanges then you are good since you'll able to have their support to help you if things doesn't go right.

This is going to rely on you and the amount of privacy risk that you want to take. If you're fine with exposing some of your personal information online, and some people are OK with doing this, then you'd be fine with using an exchange such as Coinbase, Kraken, etc (you're going to have to get verified on these exchanges as well, no getting around that) This is also if you're fine with declaring your income from Crypto capital gains, work and such, as all of these withdrawals are going to be linked to you and could be subpoenaed. If you're not fine with the privacy things, use something P2P.

Great amount of info there, thanks man! Was thinking to use Bitstamp at first but hesitate cause of the KYC info required. What do you propose if I want to keep the transactions private?

your country seems to be involved with Malaysia and Indonesia according to Wikipedia, so have you tried an exchange in one of these countries? i don't know any to suggest but you can find it on google like this: https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/indonesia/
they may even be working with the banks in your country so that you can withdraw safely to your own banks.

there are also local boards on bitcointalk you may want to visit and try to see if you can find any country-mates: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php#5

It's okay if you have the capability of doing that, there are traders/holders that have been doing that since their country isn't really crypto friendly.

What country are you planning to visit then? The nearby countries are Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Yeah, hopefully it'll be more widely recognized in the near future.

Probably Singapore since a lot of ICOs are started there, if im not wrong its one of the major port for crypto in Asia that doesn't restrict cryptocurrencies!

I think everything mentions localbitoins as the safest place to convert Bitcoin to fiat, but I think every country has each safe place to exchange Bitcoin to fiat. But there is nothing wrong if you exchange Bitcoin to localbitcoins, because I also think the same with other.

You can check https://localbitcoins.com/ if it suits you (it's a direct exchange with another person).
I think both Bitstamp and Kraken will do good as online exchanges. But you must "pay" with exposing of your personal data. Be careful about taxation and other legal stuff in your country.

You can also buy something with bitcoin, which is essentially even better if you need something.

You can also read this post - a lot of useful info. https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/61s75o/rbitcoin_faq_newcomers_please_read/

BTW, I hope you aren't selling them with loss. You do understand that there is a high chance that we will go in another bull market in next few years.

Yeah, checked localbitcoins. Not much volume where I'm at haha!

There's no tax to cryptocurrency here in Brunei if I'm not mistaken, its still relatively small here too. Unlike other countries where you have BTC atms and vendors accepting crypto as a form of payment, so theres not much choices available here  Embarrassed not unless I travel somewhere that accepts BTC!

Thanks for the heads up, im still HOLDing. Just trying to find alternatives to Bitstamp. Will check Kraken out too!
