Thats why I inquired about a face to face meeting.  I figure someone is less likely to screw you when they can see you than if you are trading over the net, regardless of post counts or seniority.  Of course meeting someone you don't know can carry risks, but you can always meet in a public place.  Regardless the OP seems to have dropped of the radar so its probably a bust.

Could always ask to use an escrow service and if the answer is no not enough time then i would pass on the deal.

Post count is largely meaningless to me, for all I know a person with a high post count could very well be a useless spammer from the peanut gallery. And there sure are many of those around here.

As far as babysitting other people in the face of potential scams, I say Caveat emptor to them.

Also repeat after me: You are not your post count, you are not the number of bitcoins you've mined, you are not your hashrate.
Some people do have lives that involve not pressing f5 and commenting on every thread on an internet forum.[/color]
I'm not saying no one with a low post count can be trusted but a huge majority of scammers have less then 50 posts. When a person has a larger post count you tend to know a little more about them and a slight better opinion on their character. It's also less likely that they will scam because they have been around for awhile and most likely plan to stay much longer.

It is actually fucking annoying selling to you people because you waste a sellers' time with your window shopping attitude or stupid lowballing. That said, it should be a requirement to post pictures of items being sold here.
I probably fall under this category I definitely don't try to low ball but I definitely try to call out when people are trying to rip you off. I don't want newer bitcoin members to get tricked into wasting their money. For example the other day I outed a guy who was trying to sell a used rig for 2 grand when all the parts (or acceptable alternatives) were on sale for brand new. Brand new the rig he was advertising costs around 1200 dollars. That's 800 dollars more for a used rig.

Any time someone tries to sell a video card here, they've always just got out of Newbie status and have less than 100 posts.  It all adds up to a scam.

Bullshit, I have less than 100 posts and have sold 2x Radeon 6950s (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.396340) and 4x Radeon 5850s(https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.431800 sold for cash locally after someone saw the add here). It is actually fucking annoying selling to you people because you waste a sellers' time with your window shopping attitude or stupid lowballing. That said, it should be a requirement to post pictures of items being sold here.

Also repeat after me: You are not your post count, you are not the number of bitcoins you've mined, you are not your hashrate.

unless those xfx cards were registered in the first 30 days of purchase the transferable lifetime warranty is gone.

also, ebay account has ZERO seller feedback. no pics, no heat, no way.

good luck with your scamming. there's a sucker born every minute.

Please post the customary pictures of the items along with a handwritten piece of paper with your username and date in front of them.

Thanks.

Hmm, 29 posts, probably just got out of newbie section... I smell scam :/

You better have rep you can show in order to make users think you're trusted. Some of those prices seem too good to be true.

Would you be willing to accept a dwolla transfer or a face to face sale (depending on location)?
