I'm bumping this topic instead of creating a new one.

There's some feedback, last year from the community, that "Samourai wallet has poor privacy while bragging about having good privacy", and that it sends IP addresses back to their servers.

Is Samourai still sending IP addresses back to their servers? I believe claiming to be a privacy-wallet is misleading if they still do.

Never heard of this wallet, but after knightdk's post... Really do not want to try it. If they go open source and stop relying on blockchain.info, I'll think about giving it a shot.
They just went open source.

Just writing some code
Samourai Wallet, currently on Android is great for privacy advocates.
Not really. See https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/447s7c/samourai_is_the_most_private_and_anonymous/. It sends all of the users data to bc.i.

Samourai Wallet, currently on Android is great for privacy advocates.  Key bullet points

  • HD wallet
  • Stealth Launch option, removes icon & invokes app by dialing pin from phone screen
  • Remote SMS commands (ie. wipe)
  • Launch over VPN or Tor
  • Really cool icon  Grin
