I've been straying away from flagships lately, i think other companies have better value phones
In my opinion j7 is better but honestly i recommend that you change from android to ios, it worked better for me and i am very satisfied
Both are not good. At the same level there is SamSung Galaxy A6 Plus with released in 2008 with many good features.

Pretty good for the price. J7 is obviously better but a bit more expensive as well.

Samsung Galaxy S9 will cost you $800. Samsung S series costs are $500 to $800.
Samsung J series are good when you can buy them for sell than $300.
