This is major news for adoption, especially in developing countries where there's a growing market for cheaper devices that can provide access to cryptocurrency focused products and services which will help many more people discover and learn about these types of technologies and help expand the market further

Samsung is very smart company which is the reason they are one of the top brand now.
Remember when NOKIA ignore ANDROID? also the BLACKBERRY? that is the time Samsung decided to have their own line.
Now cryptocurrency is the biggest breaker of wall, Samsung wants to grab it to keep on top.
After reading the OP post, the incident that happened with Nokia flashed into my mind. Samsung recognised the concept of cryptocurrency and took it further by not just sitting on the fence, but rather took bold step and dive into it. Cryptocurrency is still young, but some big companies may still miss out and things might be too late before they realise like the case of Nokia and blackberry.

I am not surprised as large companies around the world show interest in cryptocurrency and the introduction of blockch technology into their devices, and support for a cryptocurrency wallet should provide an understanding of how many users will use it and after that there will be a full-scale release of other products.

Samsung S10 is still too expensive if what is recommended is only the feature has its own blockchain wallet. With a price range of $ 800-900 dollars. I see some reviews and in my opinion it is not too great if you see features.

Yeah, unfortunately I got a S9+ about 3 months before the release of the S10 Cry
It's kind of funny if you put the price in relation as you could get quite a decent computer at the price of the S10.

I guess they are just using the crypto wallet as marketing strategy since they know that the number of cryptocurrency users and adoption is rapidly increasing, so they better be in the game first before other players takes advantage of the idea too, but I feel most Samsung phones has been too overrated and prices of the product is just being inflated unnecessarily.

How much did they produce all the parts being used to assemble the phone, if it’s about cryptocurrency, low budget phone can also make use of cryptocurrency technology too and establish a wallet, I am just supporting them now because they will be the one to push other companies in their field to do same.

Well I do not buy it at all. It is not just Samsung’s own wallet that people would for their phone. If Samsung wants to make it a success, they should really make it available for everyone out there and not just the Samsung users. This way, their revenue could increase than it would be otherwise. Looks like the expansion in the circle of blockchain is getting accelerated.

I keep seeing a news about Samsung with cryptocurrency, i guess Samsung is really serious into cryptocurrency. It's a good news for crypto, if this really happen and success, it would be big. Maybe Samsung will make their own cryptocurrency and people can use the samsung coin/token .
Nope, just a few person who will use centralized coin, as you may know what happened in XRP. There are many news against it but just a few person who has sn interest to Ripple. I just hope samsung doesn't create a new cryptocurrency for their platform but they can use cryptocurrency that already exist on the market such as bitcoin and it will be good.

This is a very good step towards the adaptation of cryptocurrency.
This isnt actually the first time that a phone brand supports crypto . There are generic phone brands on the past that introduce blockchain/crypto on their phone and recently samsung release their newest phone model equip with a crypto wallet  but overall this can again help the crypto adoption to grow more evenly  .

Samsung competitors will hasten to make similar wallets for their phones.
I dont think they will  . Cryptos today arent still indemand or totally a big hit/trend  . Many people still didnt care about cryptos but soon we wont know if cryptos will be more valueable or worth it in the eyes of the public , that will also the time that every companies and business brands will eager to support and promote cryptos .

Another good news for cryptocurrency. As the world is accepting slowly cryptocurrency, its relevance and importance is also increasing. Despite facing hurdles and difficulties in the beginning, cryptocurrency is now becoming popular across the world. Even those who were against it like Facebook are supporting it. Many countries have issued their own digital currency, while countries and big business outlets have accepted cryptocurrency as a method of payment.

A new batch of phones will be the first users who are able to use the crypto wallet on Samsung phone. It means mass adoption has started already and it is too late to stop it. Samsung has a long term vision and their tech team knows the ways to spread the crypto awareness.
Are you from mars? this is already become an old news and samsung has already launched it in S10. Mass adoption is not yet started and there was a lot of big companies even samsung still ont yet adop crypto said amazon, microsoft, etc.
Samsung has a little insight about how will be the future of crypto and the company was seeing it as an opportunity before the competitor try to create the same thing like that.

This is very good news and a great technological breakthrough. If the crypto currency can be present on a smartphone then at any time we can easily control crypto currencies from anywhere. Of course we can more freely play crypto currencies with our smartphones. I think Samsung's move to collaborate with Eth is the right decision because Bitcoin is now behind technology eth. Although bitcoin still leads the crypto currency market but eth is more potential for the future. Hopefully the crypto currency and crypto currency wallet on this Samsung S10 smartphone will soon be realized and can be purchased so that I can enjoy this facility.

I hope that the other company like Asus, oppo, htc, and else will do the same so there are competitions among the mobile phone company to be the best mobile phone that adding cryptocurrency inside the phones.
The mobile phone company will think about this, and if they want to follow the technology (which I am sure they really want to participate the technology), they will add it into their product so people can try the new feature of their phone and I am sure that it will increase their selling profit.

Though Samsung is a master of marketing, I believe this action will positively contribute a lot on cryptocurreny's growth.

This is another improvement of crypto currencies, not only for Ethereum but for the whole currencies out there especially those who have a potential. I wonder also why Samsung has chosen to support Ethereum from all other digital currencies.
At first, I predicted Samsung would support a South Korean coin but Ethereum maybe their appropriate choice for its large ecosystem as well as fan base. Besides, building a built-in ERC-20 wallet is somehow technically easier, I think.

Though we know that Bitcoin is the mother of all crypto currencies, I wonder if they are worried about the bitcoin price as ethereum is more cheap compare to bitcoin right now. I understand the enthusiasm but, with the established and trusted crypto wallets available out there, what is the advantage for the end user of using a preinstalled wallet?

I believe they are targeting their samsung ordinary users in this adoption.
It is true that there are better and trusted crypto wallets, but are they in the grasp of these ordinary customers?
Most ordinary users who never-heard of crypto wallets will prefer a pre-installed one in their phones.
So they don't have to do anything. And with the integration of this wallet to these budget phones, definitely this strategy will reach out more ordinary users.
This might be a preliminary step for these users to understand crypto and then, they can move on to better ones, if they decide to.

Great news! I think that this will contribute to the popularization of cryptocurrency among new users. A lot of users use mobile phones and do not want to use computers to use cryptocurrency.

Adoption is really important to cryptocurrency's growth. If they will add such feature to their budget phones, those users will more than likely learn how to use crypto. Most of them heard about crypto but in reality, they don't know how to handle a crypto portfolio. And considering that there are a lot of samsung users, no doubt they will add up to crypto users. Many people own at least one smartphone but not a computer or laptop. So think about the number of samsung users that will eventually be crypto users. This will be a good boost for adoption. And I think, other phone providers will follow through...

What are they trying to show by not adding the most prominent cryptocurrency to their wallets? I don't like that attitude. Instead of spreading ETH wallets to other devices they should add support for BTC. How many people use ETH to transact? It's a great token but it's alive thanks to other projects that are using it not thanks to real world transactions.

You don't need to carry ETH with you at all times because you're not going to suddenly need it when your CC gets denied. BTC on the other hand...

If they extend those features to budget entry phones, it will increase popularity of crypto. I think adding other top cryptocurrencies to the inbuilt wallet will make much sense.

Too bad they opted for Ethereum. But I guess, it is better "something" than "nothing". Any idea what kind of wallet it will be? From the announcement it seems like they are going to make a multi-coin wallet of their own. Just a thought: an integrated wallet for the Lightning Network would have been a much better choice. And it would have been an ideal entry for the masses to the crypto world.
