I dont think that thier wallet is really popular
They are starting out so it's given that the wallet they have isn't so popular. Unlike the established ones, they have all means of marketing and popularity but as we can see, Samsung is really doing everything they can to advertise their service.
And the positive thing that I can see with this is that they are giving free exposure to cryptocurrencies.

Samsung for it's payment system Samsung Pay has partnered with Ripplenet member Finablr for cross border money transfers.

A Ripplenet member are independent companies that uses Ripple and it's network for transferring money. Finablr is a UAE based money transfer.

Given that they made cryptocurrency support on their devices, this was to be expected.
Now in the world there is a lot of news about cryptocurrency and different companies are eyeing this industry, as the opportunity to capitalize on this for them is a top priority.
And only then they think about users.
Samsung is no exception.

So this has been planned by Samsung from the beginning that's why they have integrated wallet app already on their newer phones. I'm still not knowledgeable about that Ripplenet from the root word itself the technology comes from Ripple.
Well, I hope that other giant mobile companies would follow Samsung.
