I liked reading the article, and I cannot wait for the Apple side of things. (I'm a previous Samsung user, now an Apple user)

The part where there are the privacy control and most of the people don't know that the data is being collected and being used for the advertisement and other stuff is invasive. Being opt into something you don't fully understand and is in front of so many texts in front of you makes you feel that you are obliged to be part of their collection.

My learning is that the idea of a smart home could be a way to track what our wants and private conversations to be part of their advantage over us. The reasons for lower prices could be because it's lower-end models, but the fact that they could collect data with smart TV concerns me.

I'm quite uneasy about the fact that there are no referenced materials in the article that would help understand and prove the current happenings. I don't want to search it for myself though, that's my suggestion, great points overall.
