While I think it is good that you provided your real life details, I think many people would be hesitant to trust you at this point. You have no trust currently on this forum and little activity (19 posts).

Your localbitcoin account has only transacted around 25 BTC to a total of 9 people as well. If you're looking to start escrowing I suggest you provide some sort of collateral to a trusted escrow on this forum. This would help you get more business as well as users would be more inclined to trust you if you had some sort of backing behind each escrow.

Good luck  Smiley

Looks good.

Just a couple of things:

1) I wouldn't deal with any escrow agent / company without having full contact details
2) Its very strange you are clearly very active in the bitcoin space, yet just started using bitcointalk..... do you have an account under a different name for other uses perhaps?

Thanks for your questions.

1) I don't use instant messaging, so I don't have those fields filled in. My e-mail is public and people are welcome to contact me there. I don't have my phone number listed for privacy purposes, but I would certainly provide it to a customer via PM if they wanted to talk to me.

2) I've been a long time "lurker" on Bitcoin Talk, but didn't formally register an account in order to post until more recently. Since I was primarily using Bitcoin Talk as a research tool and reference guide it wasn't necessary to have an account. Once I decided to start participating in the marketplace I obviously had to register.

If you have any other questions, please let me know!

Ryan

OK, thanks.

For "contact details" I really meant "real" contact details, I don't care about what people type here. 99% of it is false Smiley but as an escrow agent, you need to garner trust all ways you can.

But good luck, it must be hard business to get going in, but very lucrative once you get the ball rolling.

Sandrig's Escrow Service

My Pledge To You

  • I will serve as a neutral, third party in all transactions.
  • I will respond to all messages within 24 hours and will release all escrow payments within 24 hours of being approved.
  • All transactions will be segregated in their own wallet, with unique addresses used for each transaction for clear tracking of funds by both parties.

How It Works

1. Buyer and seller must both PM me with the details of their transaction, including the following:
  • Username of the other party you're transacting with.
  • Transaction amount (in BTC).
  • Who will pay escrow fee (buyer or seller).
  • Item being transacted.
  • How delivery will be verified (parcel tracking number, etc).
2. I will send both the buyer and seller a message with the agreed upon terms, which both must reply to and accept.
3. Buyer will send payment to me to be escrowed. Each transaction will use a unique payment address for clear tracking of funds by both parties.
4. I will notify seller that the escrow has been received and send link to blockchain.info transaction details page.
5. The seller will then ship/deliver the item to the buyer and provide the agreed upon tracking information/proof of shipment.
6. Buyer will confirm receipt of the item and the escrow will be released to the seller.

Escrow Fees

For transaction 1 BTC and under: Free/Tips
For transactions 1.00000001 BTC to 5 BTC: .50%
For transactions 5.00000001 to 100 BTC: .75%
For transactions over 100 BTC: .75% on first 100 BTC and .25% on amount over 100 BTC

Escrow fee is intended to cover the Bitcoin transaction fee and the time and effort necessary to make this service available. If a transaction is not successfully completed and the escrow amount is returned to the buyer, an escrow fee of only .25% will be charged to the buyer to cover the Bitcoin transaction fee for the refund.

Who Pays Escrow?

The buyer and seller must decide who will pay the escrow fee. If the buyer pays the escrow fee, the buyer must include the escrow fee along with the escrow payment. If the seller pays the escrow fee, the escrow fee will be deducted from the amount the seller receives when the escrow is released.

Why Trust Me?

While I am fairly new to this forum, I have an extensive history of providing Bitcoin related services on eBay and LocalBitcoins.com and have always received positive feedback on those services. I encourage you to check out my eBay feedback at http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=ryanbeam and LocalBitcoins feedback at https://localbitcoins.com/accounts/profile/sandrig/.
