Why a 570 of all cards? Why not a 580/590?? Especially for something that's core intensive. Yeah $400 for some extra memory is steep. 16GB HBM on Vega VII sounds like a much better buy for doing C31

Cause it's designed to give the best mining results, ant the 570 processor uses less energy than the 580/590

When I saw they were asking 400$ I lol'd.

400$ for a 570 with 16Gb ram just sounds...meh. If it wer 200$ sure maybe, but that's too much for what it is. You can get 2x 1070tis for around 500$, or as some mentioned a 1080ti.

I just don't get the point. Just like I didn't get the point of the dedicated P106 (and alike) GPUs. They were very hard to get (at least over here) and their prices were just retarded. Especially for something that can't even be used for gaming.

I have to say, its weird and bullish decision from Sapphire to go with card like this on the times where basicly you need to have ~5cnt /kwh to mine profitable. Nice to see tho, but im not sure who are buying these currently. Maybe bigger players who have access to very cheap electricity

so they replied to my pre-order. $547 (shipping included) to Central Europe. Crazy. I wanted 1 for fun, but looks like it's better to get one Vega

400$ for old card with extra memory looks like not very good choice for customers.
Used 1080ti, as you guys previously mentioned, is way better deal.

Also, sapphire is very risky with this card - who knows, how much Grin will be cost in the moment of 570/16 release.

Agreed. I personally would wait for the new 7nm Vega. As it will have new tech and it looks really powerful on paper. Or yes buy a used 1080ti.

Seems like a used 1080ti would be a much better choice than this GPU.

quite hard to get used 1080TI in quantity, people love those cards.

175w why Embarrassed when 2x 580 8gb tweaked can do around the same for $350.
Is $50 less then the msrp $400 selling price of a card marketed just for mining?

It's important to note that the mentioned result on C31 is only achieved using proprietary software; there are no other miners currently available mean mine c31 on AMD. Unless they also release this proprietary software, this card is completely pointless. Even with them releasing it, I still don't think it's a good buy.

the whole purpose of that card is to mine Grin, if that card has an ROI below 6 Month it could be worth it. (depending on grin C31 Hashrate)

The grin C31 hashrate is specified there. And yes I know the purpose, but it risky.

If this is legit.

Also if it is the price is way to high for such an old card. I would rather buy the new 7nm vega if that is the case.
