I went to amd engine control center and set power control to 15%, seems to have worked...getting 580 at 1100 core clock, 72c.
 That's ok

Thanks for the tip, I had the very same problem, the +15% solved it.

OC to 1100Mhz!  YIKES!, I'm already concern at 925 Smiley can't even imagine going all the way to 1100 hehe

Added a new Sapphire 7850 - and can't seem to adjust any of the overclock settings.  I tried several of the overclock apps, even tried triXX, but it just shows "0" for clock speed and memory speed, and if I hit "+" it goes to 1 and then back to zero. (VGA SAPPHIRE|100355-1GOCL HD7850 1G)

What am I missing?

I see now the voltage is changing from 1.25 to 1.12. I'll try to set the voltage.

I just got a sapphire 7950 100352-4L and it has a problem. I only can get 500 mh/s at 1100 core, 1000 mem. any overclock above 925 core clock it throttles the card, the higher the clock the faster it throttles. This is using msi afterburner only to see the graphs, overclock is done in cgminer 2.11.3. The core clock speed drops from whatever it is set at to 850 every second, faster the higher the overclock with card at 68c. I have a gigabyte 7950 at 1150-1050 getting 605 mh/s steady as can be.
Anyone seen this? maybe the bios on the sapphire?
plus I can't get either 7950 to mine litecoin on reaperv32build231212 but that's a different day.
Anyone know about this please help!
