Let me know how the settings work out for you.
You have 7970s that get better results above -I 13? All of mine hit 740 easily enough, but with different clock speeds depending on models and all at -I 13 -g 2. (I have over 25 7970s)
I'm loving 7970s, I purely ran 7950s till I got 2x 7970s for cheap and they run sooooo much cooler than the 7950s. My 7950s run 72-80c on average but the 7970s run 62-65c on average. HUGE difference. Now all I buy is 7970s.
Absolutely. 7970 >>>>> 7950. Much cooler running and they actually consume less power, unless you want to run them at a crappy 550 kh/s. Even then, I'm sure a 7970 would consume less power at only 550 kh/s. Much better KH/s/W, easily.
For example, to get 700kh/s on my 7950s, I have to push the hell out of them and I'm not sure they will stand the abuse too long.
With 7970s, 740kh/s is uber easy and all of my 25+ cards are heavily undervolted while hitting those speeds. Some as low as 1000mv. On the other hand, if I decide to push them like I have to push the 7950s (I refuse to run them under 650 kh/s) I can hit 800-830 KH/s with 90% of the 7970s. I always SMH when people sa y 7950s are the cards to have for mining. If you look hard enough, you can find 7970s in the same price range as 7950s and they wak all over them.
