I have the same problem with my 2 RX Vega 56 Red Devil, after some research my guess would be most of the new RX Vega 56 are Hynix memory or I can say the bios is completely different with RX Vega 64 reference card which is mostly have Samsung memory.

I bet most of people don't know that with Hynix memory it's difficult to reach even 1900 h/s unless you got good card which can overclock the memory till 950 MHz.

my suggestion you try this https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/how-to-use-atiflash.57750/ how to flash back your original bios for bricked card, even though I haven't done yet because I prefer switch bios and just mining with it. maybe you can try that method since for one of your card already died so no harm to try that.

Hello,
i recently got my hands on 3 Sapphire RX Vega 56 Nitro+ graphic cards, already having the rest for my mining rig i set out to setup my mining rig, be it monero eth or some of these easy to mine easy to dump shitcoins that come out every day.

Smooth sailing i say....WRONG !

Cannot pass the bios flahing from 56 to 64 step. Every time i flash the card either does not appear in the windows or it crashes it, tried flashing one by one, with and without comand lines, flashed them on risers, on pcie 16x slot, bios set pcie speed gen1, then get2, then auto, i  enabled above 4GB ,,dunno the rest of the option name in mobo,, ,   I got to a point where i thought  i destroyed one of the cards, as it did not boot anymore , not even with the secondary bios (the card has dual bios and it can be booted flipping the switch on it) tried researching similar situation on forums and you tube, nothing, big pain in the a$$ ... dunno what i`m doing wrong.

Here`s my config :
Asrock 110HS Pro BTC mobo
2600 w Dual HP Server Grade PSU
1TB HDD (i know, not a ssd, i had one laying around)
8 GB Ram DDR4
Windows 10 64 bit

Mining with stock bios is not an option for me, not in these market prices.
I`m contemplating selling them and getting 2 1080 ti`s instead for that money - don`t want to do this as i would overpay for these cards...but i will if i have no soltuion to my problem...
If anyone is willing to help me, please do so, i`ll send them a lot of beer if its possible and if it solves my issue.

Why do you want to flash it? I use my Vega 56 with stock Settings from this page: http://vega.miningguides.com/

Runs between 1920-1960 H/s. Try that guide an you will see Vega 56 is good Card with stock bios.

Yeah, softplay tables and overdrive will get you c.2000 H/s, no need for any flashing malarkey...

i wonder why people do it tho`...i mean lots of tutorials and stuff, granted its not exactly with the nitro+ version but still
