I do have the same card. I had a similar issue. Driver version was 16.6 and I cleaned with DDU and installed 16.9.2 now stable and works fine. If you have multiple GPU, I suggest do it one at a time.

I successfully modded 6 card which hash rate jumped from 24 stock to 29mh stable with 1100 clock /2200 memory settings. Hope this helps.

Okay cool. Thanks xppb00. I'll give it a whirl this weekend. I'm getting around 25mh on it completely stock right now, 1100 clock. I do intend to play with BIOS settings when I have time this weekend. Thanks again!

I've got a new out of box Sapphire RX480 OC, not the + version so it's missing the vbios switch and the light up Sapphire logo.  Currently it's not BIOS modded at all, I'm just seeing what it can do with stock. It's in a rig with a couple of other cards (an MSI and a Powercolor).  I'm trying to user Afterburner and Watttool to adjust the memory speeds, and nothing matters.  I thought at first it wouldn't overclock and was memory throttling but would never produce errors in HWInfo.  I can see my attempts to change speed apply and it's reflected in HWInfo and GPU-Z, but it doesn't matter. I can go in and set the memory speed to 800, for example, and I'd expect this to dump my performance on ETH mining, but it doesn't change. It's like the memory is locked in at stock 1750.

I can adjust the GPU core speed, I've got it downclocked to 1100, and I know that is effective because when I bump it back up power usage goes up (both in the above tools and at the wall).  But it's like the memory is locked in place.  Has anyone seen this?

The card is on a riser, no dummy plug, etc.  I'm sure I'm missing something simple but I'm only a few months into mining so be kind to the n00b!  Smiley

Thanks - m0b

Have the same thing with Asus dual 8gb cards. I presume they use a different controller chip to the rest of the 480s

Hmm, that's frustrating.  Have you BIOS modded the Asus?
