On almost every page, users ask for an original BIOS for a video card

Before flashing the BIOS, save the original BIOS of the video card in order to restore it if it turns into a brick ..

Go to whattomine and see by yourself what's best for you

You will see that you can mine 5.5 $day in total of erg with 6 of that card.

Mine are RX550 2GB cards with baffin core and elpida memory.

986mhz core and 1901mhz mem should give you around 14mh. I even downvolt them to 800mv in OverclocknTool. Running cool at 62-66 celcius

That depend the type gpu's memory, eg. micon,elpida,samsung etc. I thing samsung that's can get 13-14mhs, the other just stack at 12mhs max.
You can use PolarisBiosEditor to mod your bios, just click "ONE CLICK MINING PATCH" . For change the timing strap section i can not suggest it, because too harmful for the GPU.

ive got 13,9MH/s with clocks 1150MHz and 2000MHz, but after some automatic restart at night -> clocks were reset to default values. so I OC it again to 1150 and 2000MHz, but now i cannot get 13,9MH/s. If you put the old bios back, something else has to be different.... you might have just learned your lesson...

guys can you help me? Do you have some idea, why my hashrate cant get 14mh/s anymore? After yours first help, I got 14.2MH/s with gpu 1200MHz and memory 2000MHz. But gpu had high temperature, so I tried to install latest AMD driver using DDU and flash new bios to my card. But after that, I can get from my cards only 13.6MH/s with gpu 1124MHz and memory 2000MHz.

if i OC gpu to 1200, hashrate falls down to 12.5MH/s. so i have no idea whats wrong with it. i tried to flash back my bios, install Blockchain driver, set claymore parameter -ethi 1 to 16. But still same problem.

Do you have some tips how to solve?

I don't recommend buying 550 cards at today's prices. I got all of mine for $85-$100 USD. You are better off getting RX 570/580 4/8 GB on amazon for $280 - $320.

Learning how to BIOS modding is something you can find out for yourself by simply searching Google. I would strongly advise that you follow online guides very carefully because you could end up "bricking" your GPU if you screw up the timing or BIOS itself.

i set Claymore 11.7 with these parameters: -mode 1 -asm 2 -dcri 6 -etha 1 -ethi 12

then core 1200 and memory 2000. and yeeees ive got 14 - 14,2 MH/s. ..... but very high temperature, 68C and 98%fan.. should it be better? Cool

Yes, i unlocked CU with SRBpolaris v3.4, then i apply 1500+ straps in srbpolaris, and flash bios. I will play with claymore 11.4 or 11.6 and improve OC now, thanks.. wish me luck Cheesy

You unlocked the cu with srbpolaris ?
Have you pimped your timing ?

Claymore starting with 11.4 does have a better kernel for baffin

did everything ?

ok, now you launch claymore mining ethereum only and let it figure out the intensity 8/12 that's the range

Then: you run hw info and look for no error, if no error increase the memory.

Now you dual mine xvg!

Put the same -dcr with the same number Claymore suggest for "Ethereum only"

+- 1
and TA - DA!
you will get around 14.5
unless I forgot something..
got 3 baffin with micron, don't worry you will get that

With 2 cards, rig was stable 13.3MH/s per card, but after i add third card its unstable about 11-13.2MH/s ,

and after some hours there is error: Watchdog: GPU hangs in OpenCL call, exit error.

I'm looking for free spin.

I think only samsung memory could give you 14mh/s because in rx 570 and rx 580 if your card is samsung memory you can get higher hashrate.
Try to use the GPU-z and check if what memory type of your card.
If your memory card is hynix you get low hashrate and micron memory could give you around 11 to 13 mh/s.

Baffin. Mining with Claymore 10.6.. I tried Claymore 11.6. but i ve got only 12mh/s with that.

I set GPU clocks 1124MHz and 2000MHz for memory.

I saw photo with mining rig with 5x Rx550 with hashrate 72MH/s (14,5MH/s per card).

Just because someone has it working at 14mh does not mean that is the norm. Its all very specific to the parts used to construct your card, you should be happy with 13mh on that junker

Hi guys, i have searched on this website and found many guys, who was able to get hashrate about 14MH/s with RX550. Please help, how can i reach that? Shocked

I did bios mod - 1500straps, shaders unlocked, OC => and it equals hashrate about 13MH/s, but not stable.

Could you give me some tips, what to do better?
