What do you think would happen to this new coin? It'd go though exactly the same process but probably even worse just like an alt coin.
SN designed it precisely they way it is now, with all those implications. Fixing the price artificially is considered a bad idea and would not create something new.
Volatility is an opportunity for you to double your bitcoins every now and then, take it!
I mean, always "Hodling" doesn't make any sense at all unless you really have no time to look at exchanges and you wanna be a more relaxed holder of bitcoin overall. in that case alright, but as an ideology in itself, ALWAYS hodling is kinda... meh
