The de-facto leaders of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have declined to arrange calls with US president Joe Biden in recent weeks as the US and it allies have sought to contain a surge in energy prices caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

According to the Wall Street Journal, citing Middle East and US officials, both Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the UAE’s Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan have been unavailable to Biden after US requests were made for discussions.

Here are some of the reasons:

This wouldn't have happened if Trump was still the president.

This is all about Ukraine.

Trump tried to get the President of Ukraine to claim there was an investigation into his political appointment.  That was what he wanted in exchange for an invitation to the White House that Ukraine wanted to show Russia that the US supported them against Russia.  (And they say Ukraine is corrupt, lol)

Trump pushed a phony conspiracy theory accusing Ukraine of interfering in the 2016 election to help Clinton, despite all his own intelligence agencies finding that it was Russia interfering to help him.

Trump stood next to Putin and said he believed him over his own intelligence agencies.

Most likely, if Trump were president, Putin would be done with Ukraine and onto the next invasion.

Its because Biden is a puppet of the elite and he is just the fall guy who gets blamed for doing a terrible job and eventually collapsing the US economy into a depression much like Venezuela.

Hey check out US Unemployment, GDP growth, the stock market, wages, pretty much every economic indicator other than inflation  Now go back to the place we were in when Trump left office and a recession was all but inevitable.

It’s not disrespect, but payback time because Saudi Arabia is not pleased with Biden’s policies. Issues include the revival of the Iran nuclear deal; lack of US support for Saudi intervention in Yemen’s civil war and its refusal to add Houthis to its list of terrorist groups. Saudi also wants US help with a Saudi civilian nuclear program; and legal immunity for Prince Mohammed, who is facing lawsuits over the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi by a Saudi hit-team in its Istanbul consulate four years ago. Saudi Arabia fear that the Iran nuclear deal would make its great political rival in the Middle East more powerful. This might make the Shia more powerful than the Saudi sponsored Sunni.

These two Arabian giants are unhappy about US political shift by reducing its interests in the Middle East and increasing its presence in Asia due to the US interest in confronting the expansion of China, the US giant's main international competitor in that region. The United States decided to move away from the Middle East and the Gulf, with the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan as a prime example, in order to focus more attention on Asia. This may not have pleased important countries in the region, such as the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Moreover, the US response to the Houthi attacks against Saudi and Emirati interests using drones and missiles, most notably the last one against Abu Dhabi that left three oil workers dead, alerted the Gulf countries to the US lack of commitment to security in the region.

Biden administration seeks to increase oil supply after formally banning Russian oil imports, pushing oil prices to $130 a barrel, the highest level in 14 years. Hence, countries like Venezuala, Saudi Arabia and UAE must be appeased by all means because US is in a very tight corner.

But Saudi and UAE should remember that America is currently irreplaceable.

What an embarrassment. Poor USA...

The man knew how to do business after all.

Its because Biden is a puppet of the elite and he is just the fall guy who gets blamed for doing a terrible job and eventually collapsing the US economy into a depression much like Venezuela. Question, do you want to talk to the person that tells you hold on let me ask this person or would you rather talk to the person in charge that can get you the help that you need? This is why Saudi Arabia, China and practically all world leaders won't talk to Biden and his administration. He is just here to collapse everything.

They just don't want to be involved in his problem and frankly this actually benefits them. Considering Biden seem to be stubborn about not allowing American oil to be pumped, he's probably just going to ask these Gulf States to increase production to lower the prices. Obviously they wouldn't want that.

No war happened under Trump. Obama and Biden are warmongers. They were so sure that Trump was going to start WWIII. He was an unstable maniac according to them but guess what, it is happening under Biden's watch. This is a fact which drives the demonrats crazy.  Cool

As a non-American I really found it funny. They get PTSD whenever Trump say something they consider vulgar but then cheer on the current resident when he openly swears to look cool.

Of course Saudi Arabia and the UAE do not want to get caught up in the game of the US and its allies. They don't want their relationship with Russia to be ruined by Biden's politics. Biden should be ashamed, because they are the ones who destroyed Ukraine by inviting Ukraine to join their alliance.

Do not die for Putin
So, let me see if I got it right. With this picture you mean that the supposed leader of the free world feels super-confy in the company of the worst dictators of the world? Is that it?

Or maybe you mean that Trump would do something different like tweeting so hard that Putin would choke? Or even better, employ his tactfulness to solve this by talking?

Or what would be the most likely case, kills us all in a blaze of nuclear glory thanks?

No, seriously, do you think that "He" has the magic wand on all this? Or maybe you think that if the picture is big enough it solves anything? Let's try that then:
