MicroStrategy has purchased an additional 660 bitcoins for ~$25.0 million in cash at an average price of ~$37,865 per #bitcoin. As of 1/31/22 we #hodl ~125,051 bitcoins acquired for ~$3.78 billion at an average price of ~$30,200 per bitcoin.

Chad-Saylor bought the DIP again, and there are people in the internet with less than $1,000 of their own money held in Bitcoin who talk crap about this chad, and his Bitcoin purchases. It’s laughable.

lets all just make new posts based on what we find on twitter without checking and without asking ourselves is it even relevant to reality or worthy of posting, all because trend following..

I think it's you who should check things before posting, because the OP was made on Nov 30, back when Bitcoin actually had a small recovery from it's dip to $54k that happened earlier, which is what the meme is about - Bitcoin crashed from $59k on Nov 25, but "Saylor bought the dip" and it bounced back to the previous level.

saylor bought the dip??
last i checked his latest acquisition of 7000 coins was at an average of $59k each.. not really a dip.

oh well.. if a forum title says it, a meme says it and a video says it. then forget the real price. and just say he bought the dip?right?!

Despite the possibility that nation-states will also start HODLing Bitcoin? El Salvador might only be the beginning. I believe when nation-states start to understand that they need to hedge, and HODL Bitcoin as protection against the possbility that they might lose control of the economic/financial system, they will hedge.

El Salvador are pioneer and more nations will join the party. I think those nations will be part of a strategic game in which we might see some loopholes that we can not imagine of at the moment.

Do you think that with Bitcoin, cryptocurrency or CBDCs, someday a nation can wipe out their national debt with one click, after one night, something like this. It would be a chaotic situation and we don't know how far it will go and how it will be solved.

HODLing Bitcoin is a hedge in case of chaotic situation, like hyperinflation. I never said, or assumed that a nation-state HODLing Bitcoin’s purpose would be to wipe out its national debt with one click. That would be like a pleb investing in a shitcoin to get rich in one night. Hahaha.

Saylor wants you to stay relevant by making the headline every time the bitcoin price fall for buying the dip. Almost all crypto traders are buying the dip so why is Michael Saylor making the headlines for buying the dip? We all know crypto whales, exchanges, banks, even countries are buying the dip. why nobody was talking about them but Michael Saylor? Perhaps, Mr. Saylor is spending money on the press to market his brand and attract more investors.

We don't know his ulterior motive here but more than likely, there will always something he thinks that will favor on his personal interest. Or he just wants people to know his active involvement in crypto market and that is good to market his brand, whatever business he is into. Just to make a noise is already a plus for business exposure. People always wanted to be in spotlight if he is selling something to the public, whether services or goods.

How long must the protocol run before everyone accepts the fact that Bitcoin WILL surge towards 6 digits, and possibly become stable at 6 digits after 2 more bull cycles?

I am never selling and that's on period!

I think Mr. Saylor will both invest and hold bitcoins irrespective of the price. I believe he has the intention of earning more in the future

Six digits? Isn’t that going to take a really long time? I can’t imagine how long that is going to take before we reach a six digits. For now I am looking towards the hundred thousand price. The market is moving towards that level and very soon it will reach that. Can’t say whether we will get to that point this year, many analysis I have seen has been really positive about the price reaching the hundred thousand mark. So I am believing on that.

100,000 is six digits
123 456
but achieving that in the final month is not happening

the buyer/miner demand is not there for a push past $80k
everyone on the planet no matter their electric price can mine bitcoin below $80k a coin price so no one sees value in purchasing it above $80k right now
if your in iceland where you can mine for $30k why would you buy for $100k, why would you buy for $80k why would you buy for $65k. you wouldnt
if you are in europe where you can mine for $40k why would you buy for $100k,$80k,$65k

yes japan has high costs and so they would buy for $65k but why would they buy for $100k

from a pure emotional, naive, pump of social drama speculation(hype bubble). the price may overdramatise temporarily to that level but from a sustainable value of a prolonged stay at $100k. no chance, this year
but this hype bubble must be some very energising news piece that tickles the naive trader to buy on a high, and i think enough lessons were learned in the $20k ATH a few years ago and the $1.2k ATH spike a few years before that. where most traders dont feed in as much to 'buy the hype. FOMO' anymore

people are more informed now to FOMO buy on the dips rather than the pumps. hense why the likely hood of seeing the price dip to $30k is far less chance than seeing it pump to $100k this month

This is hilarious clip and Mr. Saylor will always buy the dip no matter what. This shows bitcoin still strong that every financial institution buying the low and hold it for more years for better profit in the future. I would say Mr. Saylor is the new savior of bitcoin and he is not stopping anytime.

Talking about the video, I believe this is very informative and is going to help a lot of people understand why they should take this now as an opportunity. Some people do think that only those who came in last decade were lucky, but that is not true, even at this point you can still be very lucky and achieve a really huge success through cryptocurrency. So it’s good to invest now that we have the opportunity and avoid missing the huge opportunity that lies on front of us.

I'm not criticizing Saylor here, but rather how a large part of this community has turned him into a celebrity. People shouldn't just blindly copy his strategy and buy Bitcoin whenever he tweets that he bought. This basically gives him power to influence the market in short term. We are not gaining anything from it, just creating a risk.

It's fair to critique the fact of his status in the community/world. But I think the community also owes him a bit of regard for the simple fact of unwavering outspoken truth-telling in the face of the usual banksterism we all know and love. Saylor is less a pumper/dumper than he is a true believer and guardian of bcc imo.

Limited in number. Limitless in potential.
It's a funny meme, but I don't want any more "Bitcoin Jesuses". What if he will become a big blocker or a shitcoiner because he'll decide that it can be even more profitable or because of his personal arrogance? There shouldn't be any Bitcoin leaders, because beginners can very easily trust all their words, which can create a situation when one person has too much influence on Bitcoin.

Bitcoin holders shouldn't care about short-term price and  they shouldn't care if some Bitcoin celebrity buys the dip or not.
Unfortunately, that's actually is happening, even before saylor, twitter has lots of it.

About become shitcoiner, well, that's possible and there are already crypto personality that goes that way, from bitcoin advocate to shitcoiner. Example of ver, well, he is nowhere to be seen right now after sh*t happens.

Btw that meme creator is cryptochimp

Isn't that the point of every good investor to buy low, sell high and make profit?
I but BTC on the dip, I also invest in other things when the price dips and I think it's going to go back up.
Sometimes I am correct, sometimes I am not. Sometimes I bought too high and the price kept dropping before going back up, other times I sold too soon.
Some things I am keeping for a long long time like BTC and some stocks.
Other things I took my profit and ran.

Just because he is a big name and keeps buying is not that big a deal IMO.

Can't remember exactly where it was I first saw/heard of Saylor but it was during a live interview, some time right after the MicroStrategy Bitcoin buy move. He seemed to me remarkably less evangelist than I'd taken him for, and to be fair, all the Jesus labeling on him has really not been of his own making. His buying now merely keeps him in line with the strategy he's set on for his company, though I don't follow him or anyone enough to know if he's helping it along.

That video tho. Cheesy. Indeed that's the reality wherein after the massive drop there are some big investors that always gonna catch the very low price at the very low level to have a good return when bitcoin skyrocketed again . They keep adding at the dip as well, that's why bitcoin always survive from falling.. But after all there are still some people panicking because of the situation.. I mean they don't know the power of HODL!. LOL

El Salvador was the lucky country to officially implement bitcoins in their country and look what they've gotten so far, it's all good for them. Looks like other countries that have some doubt about bitcoins are now preferring to make a change by following what El Salvador does. If they wanted to make real change, then they need to get their hand on bitcoins in a positive way. It wasn't hard for them because they have a country to follow. It's up to those who still have doubt about the success of bitcoin if they still wanted to hold on to their negative thought about it. Do they not see how successful El Salvador right now?

I remembered before the halving on May 2020, months before that, theymos had a post in which he wrote that it is unrealistic to hope that Bitcoin will reach to a price at which Bitcoin whales might own assets that are much bigger than national asset of small country.

I agree with this point but I can not find this post now. You can DYOR and find it if you have time.

Bitcoin can never become stable but volatility can reduce. After bull cycles? Bolatii has been decreasing right from when bitcoin was created if every halving period are compared.

First halving, 2012
Initial price: $11
Highest prices:  around 1100
That means it increased approximately 100x

Second halving, 2016
Initial price: around and below $700
Highest price: all time all of $19,665.36
That means it increased over approximately 28x

Third halving, 2020
Initial price: around and below $8000
Highest price: all time all of $69000
That means it increased over approximately 8x

Volatility has been decreasing right from the beginning, the volatility will also continue to decrease as bitcoin adoption increases.
