.Nano needs delegated nodes
IOTA needs centralised coordinators

Is there a way to run DAG datasets without compromising decentralisation?
The DAG mechanism is that each new transaction confirms one or more previous transactions, resulting in a structure that is inherently directed graph without loops. That is, in a DAG, each transaction references the previous (parent) hashes by signing their hashes and including them in its membership. Thus, a "tree" of transactions is formed, where each of them is confirmed and unchanged.
Literally in the near future the world will see a new cryptocurrency technology DAG - Dagcoin - active platform and network Byteball.

Xdag is a mineable dag coin which has some serious potential to be scalable.
