Hi

Thanks for posting. I feel you're pain. These arseholes scammed me out of 4 X Antminer S9's...

Gutted is an understatement.

Please folks, don't make the same mistakes as us...

Best wishes

Hello,

I can confirm that bitmain-miner.com is indeed a scam.  They will:

1. Use bitcoinpay.com to process your bitcoin payment.  I have contacted bitcoinpay support, if they fail to take action against bitmain-miner.com they will be accomplices, and will report them as such in this forum and possibly the authorities.
2. Send an invoice that looks well designed, but some wording sounds fishy, along the lines of having shipped within 24 hours of receiving payment (is not something you would read on an invoice).
3. Send a *fake* tracking number, and a URL where to type it in.  This tracking site is what triggered the rest of my alarms, among other things, once you type the tracking number the URL has the tracking number.html.  I believe they would manually update this .html file.  The site is: ems-xpress.com.
3. Once the shipment reaches "customs" they send you an email to pay "taxes", to them, in bitcoins... right... this made it completely clear: scam.

The whole tracking thing is to buy time, they will probably take down the domain after some time.  According to bitcoinpay.com support, they have already processed 12 transactions (!) for them, which means that at least 12 persons have been scammed by them.  Moreover, the taxes thing is probably to have an excuse for *not* deliver and possibly get more money, if you do not pay, they say the machine was seized by customs or something, if you pay, they do what they did to the other guy in this forum: ask for money again... once he asked about customs paperwork: silence.

I decided to create this thread in the hope that more people will be aware of this.

I know, in hindsight it was all pretty obvious, but sometimes experience costs money.

Thanks!
