So it's time for omiseGO now? Maybe we will see several new giveaways about omisego.  Grin
I don't sure you guys will be agreed with me or not to me. We are going to see the same hype like 2017 where many fake/scam projects were success ( this success actually of stealing people money ). Maybe the day is very near and we will see some projects will run away with people's money. Because lots of project are coming recently with fake team, whitepaper, plagarised content etc, and lot of fake airdropes.
Totally agree with you, but this time, scammers are boldier that 2017. Now, we have all kinds of criminals around, cyber actors, phishers, etc. Unlike in 2017 wherein the scams come from the people behind the projects and some fake airdrops. So times have change a bit, but the end result is just the same, crypto sphere will be plague again specially that we are in the bull run already. So I do hope that with the amount of warnings we are giving, no noobs from this community will fall for this fake airdrops.

they will try always to steal your wallet private keys. here are still people believe that an airdrop to be collected need your private keys...

I think anyone with a minimum of brain should always avoid to share private keys in any third party service . If there are a decent amount of money it's always better AVOID any of these action even in a new service since it's to easy made a mistake and lost funds.
However it seems that these fake giveaway are not over in the time. It's strange since any legitimate airdrop will ask for such type of information.

When the market is on an upward trend, lots of scam projects come up and there are scammers waiting to steal people's money. The situation is still the same, they are creating a lot of fake websites for the purpose of scam. The more the market goes up trend, the more the number of fake websites will increase.

So now everyone has to be careful about giving their personal data on any kind of website. Because if you don't warn yourself first, scammers will try to take advantage.

.INFO Domain names are mostly used by scammers, and it's certain that they do something new every time, As we all know that there was a demand for payment in such giveaways, But right now these scammers want to steal the private key.

I guess they have saturated most of the well known domain names or domain name extensions that's why they move to .INFO or .XYZ.

And of course, you should not enter your private key on any such website, because of this your tokens and coins can be stolen.
However, I hope newbies will not fall into such a trap. Good catch mate.

In a perfect world, no crypto enthusiasts should fall for this trick, but there are a lot of naive newbies that doesn't check before entering their 24 seeds or private key.

Here is a possible fake OmiseGO twitter Airdrop handle:

Yes. But newcomers do not have this knowledge. I have also seen people who do not know well how private keys work. So some scammers take advantage of their inexperience.

And since the greed of fake giveaway is being shown here, those who are thinking of making quick profit can fall into this trap. I would say newcomers need to be more careful to keep themselves away from such scams.

"Scamvirus" you can notify OMG authority about this fake airdrop and i hope they will warn their community users about this site.

Basically this scammers have targeted new crypto users and specially OMG holders IMO. They are trying to get private keys through offering free tokens and no doubt that they have multiple websites like this one. Anyway, i will suggest our forum newbies to keep distance from this kinda trap and please don't run after fake airdrops without proper justification.

Nice catch! Lol, an airdrop/giveaway that requires private keys are so cliche and an old school scamming technique. Does anyone still fooled by this fraudulent websites and activities? I don't think so. But then, reporting this in here is indeed a great work. I've also reported this to the main Omisego Network so that they are the ones whom will handle the issue (I've contacted them through their website indicating the issue of course). I guess reporting them to the main Omisego Network is enough as it is their name being stolen and used to such fraudulent actions.
