Well, I don't know if scammers advertise on Twitter.
I think the fist time or scam started from twitter. Scammer do that by creating imposter account of various reputed exchanges, gambling sites, celebrity and also various spokespersons who are well known on crypto industry. For example Binance created a tweet then imposter will create an account alike of binance and will quote original post and will mention various giveaway.

Scammers now use facebook to the maximum to promote fake meta ico.
Scammers are everywhere. They can try to scam from any social media. As further as I know the maximum scam attempt happened on twitter and also the news of scammer also published on twitter. So, I do not think it will be a wise decision to blame Facebook.

Well, I don't know if scammers advertise on Twitter. But they do advertise their scam project on Facebook. If you think that way, Telegram is the Scammer's heaven. They do scams on telegram in various ways. The most popular method is they make a telegram of Bots of fake Token. They offer free airdrop for top affiliate marketers and it works like magic. They get a few Hundred thousand members in a month and after that, They start selling their fake tokens. The Token only exists in telegram. The token was not even registered and not even deployed on pancake swap or any swap. After they grab the satisfying amount, They just delete the group or rename the group and Vanish from the market. So, If you compare it to another platform, telegram is heaven for Scammers.

Right. but, The Sad thing is, Scammers use that platform to promote their scams. For example, Scammers promoting Facebook meta Token ICO On Facebook (LOL). I think even Facebook doesn't care about it. Either they don't check ads before accepting or they don't care about it.

Scammers now use facebook to the maximum to promote fake meta ico. Facebook is more interested in making money, and scammers use their platform to promote fake websites with their product names. And even after reporting those sponsored posts, Facebook takes a long time to take action, which increases the chances of scammers succeeding in their intentions.

Facebook is more interested in selling their ads, they never consider the safety of their users. So those who use facebook should be more careful that facebook ads are not all credible.

Great Catch mate. This is another attempt to use the Reputation of Popular Social media platforms. Previously we have seen similar attempts like Fake Meta ICO, You also exposed a fake Tesla Pre-sale website.

Currently scammers are working on a strategy that is more effective than other scam strategies. Because these social media are known to the people which makes people trust this company and they are also interested in taking the risk to take the first opportunity. And using this interest of new investors, scammers are regularly creating such websites and reaching out to inexperienced people with the help of advertiser companies.

Another sad thing is, Not everyone is aware of these scams. People don't get how to catch scams. Even people still fall for Phishing sites. So there are always a few newbies who will fall for these scams. I wish I could help them. But, We cannot help everyone. We can only try to let them know how Scams works and how to catch scams.

I don't know how many people will see this thread and how many people will get rid of them after seeing your thread. But, This kind of informative post deserves to be appreciated. I think everyone should at least make a google search before investing in anything. So they can be aware of the project is a scam. I am also hoping this kind of thread will save people from getting scammed. Keep up the good job Mate.
