I don't know a hell of a lot about DeFi, but it sounds like there could be some good things done with it.  Let's hope whatever good projects get developed don't get buried underneath a mountain of shitty scam projects.  That's basically what happened during the ICO boom, except that I don't think I even saw one ICO project that was even close to being worthwhile.  Those were all just cash-grabs.
I have basic idea about DeFi of course from looking around. By definition, it's Decentralized Finance with the goal of replacing all the financial institutional works in a decentralized way. This sounds good but the question is - will they be able to deliver what they are promising?

Recently I had this opportunity to talk to a DeFi project owner (working on to launch his platform), from the talk I realized he does not have much idea about this community. My understanding was that a DeFi platform will have a need of this community but it seems they have other things in mind. He gave me another site where he wanted to point that there are lots of DeFi who are successful and never been in this platform or have a good PR in this platform.

So we are going to see the same pattern of ICO boom with this DeFi era too? Let's assume BTC at new ATH and this time DeFi will take place of the ICO that had back in the days (2016-2018).
That was precisely the thought I had when I saw the subject of this thread, and I'm sure we're not the only two people wondering if the flood of scammy DeFi projects is about to arrive.  Looks like it's already started--and with the same old tricks, like plagiarized whitepapers, fake or nonexistent team members, etc.

I would like the Moderator  to talk to me directly by Video call about this topic. It affects the reputation of our project.
You don't have to do this privately, now that there's a scam accusation better to prove it publicly so the investors will also know if your project is indeed a scam or not. Why don't you try to explain further about your Whitepaper? If your reputation is important to you then start acting now but I guess this is just a whole scam project after all prove me wrong.  Huh

such a great point. im shocked how so many defenders of their projects plead innocence behind closed doors, but dont do anything to prove they are not guilty to those they have tricked. its mindboggling

Hello is this part of the marketing strategy?

As far as I know, NDA is implemented on exchanges, cause it seems this guy keeps shilling your project on social media. If youre gonna list on mxc better wait for the official announcement. This will not increase your reputation build cause you only luring other people to ger curious and possibly invest due to hype. T

Also wrong spelling on the image.

We refer to articles from many sources. But not copied from others.
Your evidence does not prove that we were fraudulent
There are no references in your whitepaper for anything you took, and I am not surprised that you didn't just copied Binance, but other articles as well. And in that image you provided, changing few words order doesn't mean anything, you still copied without referencing, therefore you plagiarized.

You also apparently don't have actual team members. This is an image file, which means the LinkedIn icons aren't clickable:
I checked few of those names mentioned as their team members, and on their LinkedIn profiles there are no mention of Antodex. By itself that's not proof that they are not related to this project, but still it is a red flag when for example  "Chief Technology Officer" Mark Jones doesn't mention it at all.

I'm gonna guess that "the Moderator" has better things to do than waste their time with scammers who can't even be bothered to read the rules. Scams are not moderated and making multiple posts in a row is not allowed.

We acknowledge a quote from Binance for correct thinking about Defi. Rather than copying their words.
That doesn't prove that our project is a scam.
Suppose now I ask you to think about Defi or ICO, Maybe you have to think differently, to be different from them.

You did copy their words, and you didn't reference Binance at all in your white paper. You should have put more time into describing the actual idea behind your project before just copying large swaths of somebody else's work.

You also apparently don't have actual team members. This is an image file, which means the LinkedIn icons aren't clickable:

Your project comes across as unoriginal, and frankly, like a scam.

Defi IS going to become or has already become the next bubble after the ICO/STO/IEO craze. They could not come up with another Initial blah blah blah offering so changed it into a new thing but essentially the same scam "remastered" version. Roll Eyes
Unfortunately people didn't learn anything from ICO bubble, so we got this defi craze now and subsequently bunch of bad and lazy projects like Antodex. We can expect more and more of those in the near future, until all this collapses when enough people loose the money and exit crypto disappointed.

So far no funds yet has been poured on their wallet and hope they never gain any out of it.
Their ICO hasn't started yet (it starts on August 24th) so that's why there is no activity yet. I hope it will stay like that even after 24th, but I doubt that will happen, as people get blinded due greed so even bad attempts like this one can fool some of them.

Wow fresh smart contract.

Code:
https://etherscan.io/address/0xF124AdcCd40bf426721741F6De7196D6dfb7C310

It seems tutorial on making smart contract has been abusing by these scammers. The website is very simple and exhibit nothing any point of value. So far no funds yet has been poured on their wallet and hope they never gain any out of it.

If we count defi projects proven to be scam, I think more than 10 already are posted and got caught. Defi really is intense these days.

lets hope that users will be smart enough about this DeFi hype and dont ride the bandwagon. im certain that most of these defi-related projects will be only few weeks in trading and will be gone..that is after ripping some money from gullible investors. are we seeing another ICO storyline here? guess most of them will run away with a lil bit of stash. and ive seen the increase of uniswap service also. a convenient way of listing of these crap tokens!  Roll Eyes

Point is that it is enough to fool some people and yet more who will promote them being brainwashed shills of the project to rope in more of their friends to get scammed as well. Maybe DeFi was good for the first few projects that it was intended to be like BitRefill which is an age old legit service available in several locations to use but not every project is going to be a new DeFi project and successful at the same time.

Same telegram spam with "this project should be the next DeFi" messages have become prevalent now as well as a breed which I am calling "DeFiBois".  Grin

What happened: Antodex is yet another scammy DeFi project made for sole money grab purposes. They were so lazy that they  took Binance content for their whitepaper as they are unable to write anything by themselves. Naturally, no team has been mentioned as well.
