Two days and they are still up, if they are still up for a week or more they are likely to scam more newbies, I hope that those who will see this giveaway know the basic of doing research and not giving away their private key to a new site, we all know that greed is hard to moderate, but we should at least become educated on how and what to look in a legit site.

Their explanation of why they ask for the backup phrase is this:
Quote from: atomicwalletsgift
The Backup Phrase Confirmation is to make sure the ones who claim the reward are Atomic Wallet users and active wallet.
Their scam scheme totally depends on the ignorance of the victims because anyone the basic understanding of how wallet apps work and how they generate seeds would realize that their explanation is pure BS.
Atomic wallet uses the bip39 standard to generate seeds. Therefore, there is no way for them to know which app was used to create the wallet.

That gifts really give attention to people who think that the gifts are real and do anything to be part of them. I hope that people out there will not think that is a real gift as there is no fast way to make money unless you hit the jackpot. If people do not care about phishing or scamming websites, they will get scam and lose their money. We really need to stay away from the giveaway or any gifts that look good to be true because that is fake.
Considering how Internet is a mixed bag of different kinds of people, I think that there will be people that are going to fall for it. I know that I seem pessimistic about people not falling for this kind of scam but I am just projecting what reality is, there are absolutely clueless people out there that are finding ways to earn money online and the moment that they saw this ad, the desperation to earn a quick buck is going to set in and they are going to bite the bait. It really depends, the only giveaway I will stay away from is when they are asking for money to enter but if there is no strings attached then I might consider.
Yes, there will be people who will love that and will fall to that offers. I used to fall into that tricks, maybe I can say it is an easy trick that everyone can see, but the greed says that the way is real and I need to follow it. And then, I bite the bait and lose my money, which is before I knew bitcoin.

If there is a fast way to make money, people tend to follow that way without thinking much about that way. But after they got a trick, they will realize that everything they did is fake and did not work anymore. So if we read about giveaways that seem good to be true, the only thing that we can do is searching for more information and do not trust that before we really know if that is real.

That's a huge amount if Atomic wallet is going to launch a giveaway, they are going to announce it in their official social media account or through their subscribers in their newsletter so only legit users of Atomic wallet can participate, but I doubt if they are or can launch such huge giveaway, people should be careful on giveaway always do research and verify it.
Atomic wallet is already a big name in the crypto industry and I don't think that out of the blue they are going to do some giveaway, maybe their anniversary in the industry can be an excuse but that celebration doesn't warrant that much amount of money. Hopefully, no one got duped by this phishing attempt because I feel bad for Atomic wallet getting their name tainted by the people who were an unknowing victim of some impersonator.

There are currently a lot of phishing websites in the crypto market with various wallets in the name of which are dangerous for new investors. In order to get rid of this kind of fraud, they must ignore such fake giveaway websites. This will require spreading awareness news among all. If the crypto market is up in trend, scammers are looking for different ways to scam people, because this time many new investors enter the market.

There are so many scammers impersonating atomic wallet support on telegram where try will be trying to solve your issues.  I came across a scammer trying to steal my private key, I drop a question on atomic wallet telegram official group, unfortunately, I was sent pm from a user bearing the same name equally on same profile picture of the group admin, showed me website to input my private key for solving my problem.

Quickly I came to realize that it's a scam site, I crosscheck and compare the username with group admin, seriously, wasn't the same, a slight difference. Although can't remember the scam site address for security purpose but trying to warn users from ignoring pm sent to you first, admin will never pm you first. You may be a victim of atomic wallet impersonators.
