And yeah...I have about 3 or 4 microsouls as well...one supposedly loaded with 0.001 IIRC in a slab...had bought before I was aware of the issue with these coins....so I just let it be. The seller even apologized later on for selling it to me....but I todl him will hodl and take the chance.

They all have a place. Some are legit nice coins. I hope to get a gilt microsoul at some point.

This is a bit thought provoking, my main concern would be the potential market for resale,
I would imagine it would be quite small for collectables other than the well known coins
like Bitcoin (obviously), Litecoin, Monero for example and for total $hitcoins like Doge purely
because of its history.

I like the idea of a credit card collection though, very different.

I think these questionable/scam collectibles definitely have a place in history and of course notoriety. With the notoriety imho there is a collectible value.
Are the items funded/ unfounded?
Are the items fake ?
How many have been made ?
Personally I’m a microsoul fan and the whole history of these intrigues me and for me on these relatively low denomination items - it’s worth a gamble.

I do...Alitin is one of my prized scam coins...lucky to have both...unloaded of course...and that goes for any other questionable makers...also coinographic as well

Krogo and I have been building up the scam thread together over the years unfortunately, many of them being coins that I came in to possession of before finding out they were scams or potential scams/highly questionable items. I wouldn’t necessarily seek them out myself, but some are very cool coins. It’s always insane to me, some of these guys made such nice coins and chose the quick cash grab way out vs continuing to produce coins that the community likes and make more money over the long haul. Just shows what kinda idiots they are.

On a separate note I do kinda like to search for scam alt coin physical versions like bitconnect for example. A guy showed up here once saying someone brought in a bitconnect poker chip (seen below) that myself and LesbianCow tried to buy, I know we both offered about $100 for it, but the guy wouldn’t even reposed to DMs. Think he thought he had something really valuable that definitely isn’t. Anyhow I’ve been on a the hunt for a physical of it for some time since I spent so much time trolling them/trying to expose their scam. Memento so to speak. They also made credit cards that were briefly sent out to a couple people before several states issued cease and desist orders and they exit scammed.

I think the cold storage and the microsoul are the only scam ones I have - though I would like to have one of each of them.

Microsoul has to be up there in the rankings. Some of his early Cas looking Silver and Gilt items with low mintage are still very collectible.

Hey, I'm curious if there are any collector's out there that collect some of the more questionable items that, without glorifying them, have their place in bitcoin history? I find myself holding an unfunded Titan (with a questionable COA) and a couple of Sol Noctis', but I don't mind having them in my collection and wouldn't try passing them off as anything more than what they were. What do other collectors think? Thanks!
