I tried to browse around the website, it seems like they have some connections to Bitget according to this[1]. It is not explicit, but at the time of writing, the e-mail address linked at the bottom of the page will redirect to:
Code:
I don't know if this connection is legit or not, or if they just copy what Bitget has. If anyone is interested they can probably ask Bitget[2]. They are neither active nor popular, to begin with, so even if they are legit I'd rather use another platform.

[2] https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-bitget-leading-digital-asset-trading-platform-5256043

Looks like copy pasta to me since they should still be a different entity - don’t see anything that could indicate otherwise - and hence doesn’t add up that they have the exact same privacy policy and user agreement with just the names being different. My guess is they forgot to edit the hyperlinks when they copied from bitget.

Maybe, but it's also about who calls you a scammer. Bitcointalk has a 2.9 review on Trustpilot. Over 50% of the posted reviews are for 1-star. If we trust customer reviews, we should all leave this forum right now. But neither good nor bad reviews mean they are true. Those who gave the forum 1-star reviews are probably butthurt scammers who got tagged, ex-members who got banned, and similar.
Yes, I agree with you. Even positive reviews for a platform on Trustpilot are not conclusive proof of the platform's credibility. These may be shill reviews by platforms and companies that regularly invite customers to write reviews to get a higher TrustScore than other platforms. Perhaps those who wrote reviews are Scammers or people who violated the platform's policy and terms, which led to their account being banned, so they return to Trustpilot to write negative reviews to harm the platform's reputation. Therefore, we cannot rely on Trustpilot or any of the review sites completely because these reviews do not indicate 100% of the truth.

Regardless the reputation of this BestExchanger the fact it was labeled as scam by them and other users in trustpilot reviews makes it more clearer that its really a scam.

but I tend to agree that some competitors may leave negative reviews but those well-known service platforms compete very well.
Yeah, reasonable if the services are reputable but in this case not.

Here is a funny fact, the exchange platform mentioned above has an article on Tips for avoiding scams.
That's their new tactics, scammers do things like this, like what can be seen in phishing scam, either via email or sms saying that someone got accessed their account, ot have suspicious activity so they need to change their password accessing to fake website to get their password.

Although there's no proof that mentioned site is scam but i won't trust them even a single cent.

I'm not going to use that platform, partly because of the bad rating on Trustpilot, the fact that their price is enticing to traders which makes it questionable, and they are unpopular and new exchange, because of the competition they should try to establish their reputation and one of this is creating an announcement here and open themselves to criticism and feedbacks.
My motivation to trade on any exchange is when in doubt I don't proceed to trade.

I don't know whether or not that means much and if we can trust BestExchangers and its evaluation.
Regardless the reputation of this BestExchanger the fact it was labeled as scam by them and other users in trustpilot reviews makes it more clearer that its really a scam.
Because why wont they waste their time to review for a little to zero exchange. And it wont be the case as competitor negative review coz it doesn't have any reputation yet. That's why it makes more sense.
You have a point about this in the first place, but I tend to agree that some competitors may leave negative reviews but those well-known service platforms compete very well.  It seems it's unlikely to be the sole reason for a platform receiving negative feedback it might the best thing is to weigh the reviews against the platform's reputation, customer service, and overall performance.  We can't depend only on the Trustpilot review.

Here is a funny fact, the exchange platform mentioned above has an article on Tips for avoiding scams.

Not enough details to prove that they're a scam and so what if they're selling their domain and showing it higher than the suggested price of any website?

I have never heard of them but I think before you accuse a service or a website or a person, you need to gather accurate and enough proof to say that they're an actual.

Thus, websites like trustpilot are no longer reliable with regards to information on how to spot a scam website. Reading the reviews there, most of them were made recently.

This is the first time this exchange has been mentioned on Bitcointalk according to what Ninjastic.space shows.
Googling the name also doesn't bring much information. I did find that a Russian site called BestExchangers has placed Coinwix.com on a list of fraudulent exchanges. I don't know whether or not that means much and if we can trust BestExchangers and its evaluation.
Not sure how coinwix ended up in the scam exchange list. How I wish bestexchangers would help us document how they ended up with the verdict bt regardless I would believe them to some extent.

They also what I believe to be a bought Twitter account from 2011  Grin  https://twitter.com/coin_wix

I don't understand why you marked this exchange as a scam, because you didn't properly analyze this scam accusation. I have never heard of this exchange before, this is the first time I came to know after reading this thread. There are plenty of exchanges online, most of which are unknown to most crypto users, but that doesn't mean those exchanges are scams. So you add detailed reasons to the OP to make this accusation more solid.

Haven't you noticed some coin at CMC doesn't have same price with those on coingecko, most times the price could be lower on cmc and will be higher on coingecko whichever way but doesn't remain the same.
So the only thing i senses there then was that, it fails to update quickly to tally with other website. I could also remembered a day when cmc gave us wrong updates about prices none of us called them scam or names because we all believed that the exchanges and website are being built and program by human there might be an error reading at the later ends.
True, prices can be different depending on the exchange, but on Coinwix each and every cryptocurrency listed has the price higher than on the other exchanges and I seriously doubt its coincidence or that they are slow to update. Its most likely an arbitrage scam in which they want you to think that you can get more money for your crypto.

Another big red flag is that they are not listed on Coingecko or CMC. Being listed there doesn't of course mean that exchange is legit, but not being listed there is a sure sign that something is wrong with the exchange.

It is a typical arbitrage scam.
Price of BTC on coinwix.com differs by ~1000$

Something may be wrong with how the price is being shown on this exchange and it's possible that this is a scam exchange, the reviews on Trustpilot are varied and bit really reflect the true status of this exchange, they could be doing selective scamming or there are people ruining the reputation, it's better for one user who got scam to come down here and post his proofs to verify that the site is indeed a scam exchange, we can only speculate if you cannot post pieces of evidence.

NB: Bitcoin price doesn't always match with all exchanges, the difference are just $100, $200 or even $300.

Do you know how to spot a scam? I'm not saying you are wrong as I have never heard of this exchange, but just because they sell btc 1000$ higher than the price does not make them an automatic scam. Come with proof and post in the proper format if you want anyone to take you seriously.

What do you call scam and how do you easily accused a scammer?
Now before you doing that there should be something very tangible that could holds on as an evidence to prove that such site truly have scammed people around here. I think or i believe very strongly that this said site may not truly scam you but rather you were facing a little challenges with it, briefly share with us some reason proof of how you were scammed.
My first time of hearing about this exchange or site.

The exchange is pretty new based on their social media activities they started posting just this january 2023 regardless their domain registration.
Now about the scam accusation better to post proof of how it happens posting such almost zero to none content wont help. Don't rely on trustpilot reviews either unless it is "verified" review.

You might want to shows us how the exchange is scamming people. Just this few sentences won't be of help notifying the community that much.

I'm not aware of the existence of this exchange but they've been existing for 5 years already maybe they just purchase the domain to make themselves look credible,
Until 28th November 2021 or even later, the domain was still up for sale Which means thy might have acquired it somewhere in 2022

They do this for traffic and backlinks especially if the domain is popular and has been around for so long, Once I checked all the sites I bookmarked I discovered the majority of them are very much different from what the site used to be, so checking the WHOIS for more information for reputation purpose is useless.
It's already been advised before and will say it for the nth time, only trade on a more reputable exchange and do your own research it will save you your hard-earned money.

You're going to have to provide more evidence and reasons that supports your claim just providing the trust pilot review link won't be enough because if we're to consider trust pilot then no one will be using bitcointalk anymore because of the reviews there.

And besides there's a format to reporting scam site or scam exchange in your own case. Check out this thread for the format Scam Report Format (Use it to make scam reports properly)
