Good to know that. I just discovered a perfect platform to scam people.  Grin  Let me create few alt accounts and start scamming. lol
How hard it's to disable "Self-moderation" on a forum. or just don't allow people to sell on the marketplace section unless they are 6 months old / Have some reputation.

I understand your frustrations, but you shouldn't blame everyone for your stupidity. You need to be very careful about trusting anyone on the Internet. It can even be assumed that most of the services offered online, especially through social media, will turn out to be a scam.
If you were not born yesterday, you should know about this. Therefore, the forum has created such services and advises everyone to use the trusted escrow service, and above all read a little and consult with other people. This is if you have not forgotten the forum, which is not composed of one person.
So be stronger and accept your mistakes with dignity.

Shame how moderators and admins are doing nothing against a scammer. He is active here, posting new threads to scam peoples
Moderators and admins have no business with moderating scam here.

Moderators and admins have no business with moderating scam here. There are so many stickies and warnings around different boards on how you can trade and avoid getting scammed. One of them is using trusted escrow services.

You can't blame the mods and admins because you were too careless with your money. Your money is your responsibility. I mean that was one of the pillars of bitcoin creation, right?

Taking service from newbies is always risky and your story is another clear example of that. Same like others i always suggest everyone to use trusted escrow service which may costs some dollars from your pocket but you will not get scammed like this. Unfortunately most newbies make the same mistake and some of them try to save some money just by ignoring escrow service.

you should've checked this thread Recommended bitcointalk escrow services for escrow services(they offer a 1% fee(0.001BTC minimum) or ask members in the forum to recommend you a reputable escrow in the forum and I remember someone reputable in the forum offers free escrow service( but I am not sure if he still does). online transaction is very risky and expending additional money so the transaction can be safe and go smoothly I'd gladly pay for it.
OP is a newbie, as if s/he knows about a escrow or is s/he is just ignorant about the dangers of dealing on the Internet. The money that OP has sent is not a lot but it is still something that someone should be frustrated. To OP, you should be more careful next time, this forum will help you with your questions as long as they don't found it stupid and the line between that is very thin. Remember that you are a fool for life when you don't ask questions.

that is why the community always suggest to do research and ask questions first and use escrow before making a transaction with someone online. the bitcointalk community is always here to help as best as they can if you have questions. it is sad that you got scammed but it would be better to look at it as a lesson and be more cautious next time you try to make a trade with someone online. flag against @AWSACTIVATE supported

It's why user created self-moderated thread with red trusted feedback and flagged should be ignored, it's a warning for high risk not to trade with the user.

No one can stop him more thread to scam, this applied to moderators and admins too since forum doesn't moderated scam.

Nothing you can do more, tag and flag are enough to warn peoples.

Watch out for this motherfucker, he will be paying for his deeds soon, meanwhile he's a notorious scammer of this forum.

I left him a red tag with a reference pointing to this thread, so we'll see if he responds.

I need to know why would you make a deal with this user if they are untrusted and a newbie? They don't have any successful sales under their belt, and a bunch of red trusts from people who think they are a scammer.

He is smart in this aspect. pointed me to a escrow service which has high fees. he knows i would rather pay him directly than using a escrow service for 150$ for a 200$ deal

Sorry for the loss. Escrow services are more like personal businesses here, so admins have no control over fees they charge but one thing I am very sure about is that most offer very cheap rates. You are better off spending 1%($2) in escrow fees rather than lose all the $200 to a scammer. You shouldn't have believed the scammer. They are quite persuasive.

I would like you to include the transaction ID or scammer's address in text form in the OP. I will probably tag him sometime tomorrow.

One suggestion for Bitcointalk admins and escrow services : Please lower your fees or these will happen every day. ( Not a good sign for a good community )

I know i am not getting the money back.. but atleast someone else should not lose money.

One more thing. Negative reviews wont help , nor suspending his account. ( he will create again and scam others ) . Better to fix the root cause and build a better and cheap escrow service.

Bitcointalk escrow service is quite lower. That means some are accept 1-2% fees. It’s not too high. The man who chat with you maybe told lie.

Mods are not controlling scam in this forum. But the trust system helps a lot to know about someone. So better to do self care and care of your own money. If you don't take care of your money then nobody can help you.

regarding SebatianJu are you certain that the one you contacted is the real one? there is a lot of impersonator in telegram copying reputable member's name in order to scam people. here is his profile in the forum and his escrow thread.

What happened::So here is the little story.
I have contacted this guy @awsactivate to buy aws 5$ credit accounts

After 2-3 days of being hesitant to go first. i have decided to take escrow. ( He agreed because he knows the loophole, escrow services are costly , he pointed me to a guy @SebastianJu He charges 150$ itself )
So, dealing with direct is good choice for any one here.

Now that i have sent the 200$ to him.. Voila... Chats cleared & Blocked me right away.
