thank you for the notification about the existence of fake bitcointalk, I was greatly helped by your information, I think those who made fake bitcointalk for sale are bought considering the price of a bitcointalk account is now expensive, therefore we must be observant if we want to log in on a website, please note good url don't be different.

There is another thread from OP in the other board (Fake Bitcointalk forum Warning) and IMO, breaking the thread in two (due to different boards) isn't that great because it divides the discussion.

Most of the people don't visit Scam Accusations sections.

What I did?

- I posted main topic with most information and images here
- I created short info in Meta and link to this topic here
- People can choose to talk where they want
- I wanted more people to pay attention faster

I check the login page  to see if they are really cloning the login page and I landed here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=login, their redirection is only on the home page but have not yet cloned the login page, we can conclude that the cloning is not complete and it has no effect to visitors who wants to log in to the real Bitcointalk, but we have something to worry if we are careless.
The login button only leads to BitcoinTalk in the homepage. Try going to any post and click on the login button to see what happens. There is a clone of the login page.

I posted this in there:
TIP: Add the website to your hosts file to block it and avoid clicking on it by mistake.
I totally fell for the cloned site, until I realized I couldn't see your trust ratings.
I have added this line to /etc/hosts
Code:
127.0.0.1       bitcointalk.to
Now my computer can't access that phishing site anymore.

Just do the above but with bitinfo.cc instead of bitcointalk.to.
Code:
127.0.0.1       bitinfo.cc

Your account here in Bitcoin, if you do not have a red tag, is very precious so it's very important that you bookmark the homepage of Bitcointalk and it's login page as well, Bitcointalk now is one of the most targeted sites now by hackers, use meta cert have a very passwords and always use anti-virus that intercepts malicious websites.

This should be shared in as many local boards as possible because not many newbies come here or in meta to read.

I've done my share https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/pekeng-bitcointalk-forum-5193651

But we must be vigilant against phishing sites as mentioned above, they are not all clone bitcointalk, but I don't think there are many victims of bitcointalk account hacking.

This people are really desperate of hacking forum accounts.. the only fake forum I encountered that I almost put my log in credentials is "bitcointalk.to" but it seems like this forum is already down now. Anyway, let's just be careful with this type of scams and we should stake our address so we can recover our account in case we will be victim of hack.

Edit: It's a live fee for sure, my comment just appeared within seconds.
Yikes.  Man, the lengths scammers will go to in order to do their thing always amazes me.

Nice catch on this one, OP and thank you for the warning.

Looks like it is coming from Russia if I am not mistaken.
Probably, and I've got nothing against the Russians--I just saw yesterday that most traffic on bitcointalk comes from there, with the US second.  That factoid surprised me a bit.

there is thread about it but the thread was locked since the OP isn't updating it. here's the thread if anyone is interested. I think someone should make a
new list and put it in Begginers & Help or Meta(which where the link I posted is from). I encountered the sites before but I knew better. but I can't say about
newbie/newcomers they might become a victim.

Looks like an up-to-date feed of the forums too, ideally a connection that can be cut off? This topic has made it on there for example.
Unfortunately without 2FA this forum will always be a magnet for phishers, looking to sell accounts I imagine.

Warning: Links to phishing site

I saw that... scary and crazy stuff.
Looks like it is coming from Russia if I am not mistaken.
This should be reported quickly
