This is a fork of arqma which is based on monero. If your accusation about scam are based on same technology without adding sources its silly. Ofc should be corrected due to license rights however it doesn't mean scam but copy paste. It's painful for new project like that. Unfortunately somebody did that in rush , it looks like copy paste and I see no difference between many other trtl or monero forks and this one except copy of things related to RingCT.
There is a  difference between arqma and Morelo-  arqma stated their sources, while Morelo team failed to do that. I reported Morelo almost one month ago, and from what i can see, nothing changed on their website in regard to that. No sources, no whitepaper, no nothing, still the same as it was.

It's like they never read another whitepaper in their life. Bitcoin whitepaper has references mentioned, Monero has, arqma too, but somehow rules don't apply to Morelo. They are even mimicking Monero name. It's funny when you think about it, they can't even do basic things right and somehow they will improve Monero/arqma.

Many new projects have difficult in writing docs when they are focused on network start and code debugging.
That's a pretty bad excuse, imho, and often used by many projects that plagiarized content.  Sure, writing docs ain't easy, but then you mention the sources, and problem solved.

So basically they use monero and arqma technology and solutions. Content should be corrected by them so its enauf to mention on their thread to do that. Many new projects have difficult in writing docs when they are focused on network start and code debugging. Just my 2 sats

Well even if that is the case they still committed plagiarism as they have copied the content of Investopedia on explaining what Ring Signatures are. Other than that their domain is being hosted by namecheap which I think for an ICO is already signs of a scam waiting to happen. Also I'll be adjusting my negative feedback based on what you have said.
That's true, it doesn't change the fact that they just copied the content from someone else without using any reference link or giving credits. It is dishonest behavior, and not a way to start the business. And if they can do something as basic as this correctly + several other red flags i  see, i doubt that they can make this project work, and everyone who touches this will most likely loose money.

But by the way where does exactly Monero stated this directly? I can't seem to find it in their cryptonote whitepaper where they talked about Ring signatures but it is not exactly where you have based it.
Thanks for pointing that out. What they copied is content from Investopedia about Monero, and not Monero whitepaper, gonna fix that in the first post and add original source. Sorry for confusion, here is the link, majority of Morelo website content is taken from that article

Agreeing with your findings and the good news is it seems like the OP of their ANN thread has locked their thread because of the negative tag you have given him.
Their Ann thread was locked even before i tagged them, as they probably wanted to prevent people mentioning plagiarism.

What happened:  Almost all content Morelo has was taken from Investopedia article about Monero. They are even using similar name.
