Anything saying we can double your money is always a scam. Those that can double any money would always double their own money instead of others. Peoples own greed makes them fall into traps like these.

Hey guys,

I am a noob in the cryptoworld and wanted to get in on the action asap. As with all things internet there are massive potholes to avoid and being a noob does not help. I fell for a scam (Bitcoin doubler: https://bitcoindoubler.fund/). It looked legit and I sent them some BTC.

When you get back on your chair, after LYAO, is there anything I can do to get my BTC back? Is there ways of checking if a web is a scam?

Tx

The cryptocurrency world is like the Wild West. There is no government that controls Bitcoin or protects us from scammers. We are on our own and have to rely on message boards and our own research to make sure our funds are safe and secure.

I lost a lot of money when Cryptsy went out of business and the owner fled to China apparently with a few million in Bitcoins and altcoins. No one goes after people like this so you just have to live and learn like I did.

I think that you learned your first lesson on bitcoin world, you diserved to loss that money, because you were not even capable of reading a little this forum, the first rule in bitcoin is just to not invest in ponzies/hyps/doublers, and you did it. there is no way to recover that money, because it nows belongs to a scammer, and nobody is going to get that money back to you.
Sad story mate.

Bitcoin is not the same as paypay that you can reverse the payment once your transaction was confirm your bitcoin will never get back .. that is why not good to deal to someone to exchange bitcoin to paypal  because there are lots of scammers to they are using the advantage of use of reverse payment so  if we compare both paypal and bitcoin they are the same bitcoin will never get reverse and paypal can be reverse but they are some people are using it to scam someone..
Beware in any doubler or investment and cloud mining site they are honestly not good choice to invest our money..  buying bitcoin is enough and hold them for a long time can gives you an investment it self.

I totally agree with you it has a lot of process so if I were for the newbies you need to learn a lot like you are studying for not to be scammed.

If you don't understand how something works, don't buy it. Very simple and very important rule.

You check or make a thread in scam accusations with proof. Maybe there's already a thread about it there.

Keep it simple: "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is".

Be more careful in the future!

These websites are called ponzi schemes or HYIPs. They are ALWAYS scams. Remember that, any time someone says he can double your money in a so short period of time he's a scammer. So avoid to trust such people and keep working to recover the money you lost. Hoping for you to have learned the lesson and don't fail in another similar scam next time.

"It looked legit". Really? Someone says "I can double money in 10 hours, and I don't want to double MY money, I'll double YOUR money" - and you see nothing strange?

Unfortunately this is an unpleasant lesson for you and a warning for us beginners. I would say that if you are a beginner, you can not get rich overnight. You can only be scammed. Check the offer well before you decide on an investment. Use this forum as good tool and search for something about the service you want to use. Maybe it's already somewhere in the forum that something is a scam or not.
What a wonderful warning to all newcomers. Hopefully all of us will learn better about what we want to know and so that we will not simply fool or plunder.

No.

Trust nobody.

Unless you can prove that it is not a scam, it is probably a scam.

Really? You really thought something like this exist?
If it would exist, by doubling ur bitcoins u would steal from every Bitcoin owner out there.
Its easiest to scam people on things they will think get them rich in minutes, its sad really.

I hope u feel ashamed a little bit, i hope u didnt lost much in same time.
Thats great lesson for whole life to come.

Is there a way to get your funds back? Nope. Use your mistake as a lesson. Never fall for the same scams again.

How do you know if a website is a scam?
Quote
200% investment return with our 10 hours investment plan, Fully automated payouts, Only 0.02 BTC minimum and 10 BTC maximum investment limits
Quote
Our automated system gathers information from the blockchain transfers and cryptocurrency exchanges to study and predict the bitcoin price, our servers open and close thousands of transactions per minute, analyzing the price difference and transaction fees, and use that information to generate profit.
Please, tell me how that doesn't look like a complete scam? Maybe think twice first before throwing in your money on some random obviously-a-scam website?
