I confirm this is a real escrow and his coins are safe. God, it's been such a busy week for me.(and the scammers)

He used that as a way to pretend to be honest, hoping the other side would give up on using John. He also talked about escrow in his threads. Just scamming tactics.

I've had several newbies ask to do a trade, suggesting JohnK escrow.  When I wrote back saying OK, they never wrote me back. It's happened 3 or 4 times.

Joshster was one of them - he PM'ed me: "I can message JohnK and when he comes on we can arrange a escrow for a secure trade. I can pay the 1.5 fee."

But I never heard back from him.

The more I dig the more I find.

You made my heart skip a beat when you suggested it could be a fake escrow PM.
I have just checked and it was indeed JohnK so hopefully should have it back soon.

Good point, there was at least a case of fake escrow. The scammer told the victim to send the money to an address, saying it was the one of John K with a copy of a fake PM from John K.

I don't know why that scammer Joshster agreed using a escrow, he probably never had the cards and surely he never intended to send them. Congratulations for decided to use a escrow, your money is safe.

It is strange as he insisted JohnK.
I am glad I did though and will always from now on.

Regards.

Ah, there was a thread on this the other day of a similar accusation, I'm surprised that this hasn't been dealt with.
I'm glad you used a escrow service, make sure you keep doing that!

Joshster was selling 3 hd5970's and we came to the agreement of BTC6.75.

I paid this to JohnK as an escrow.
The seller stated he would post several days ago.
I have asked several times for the tracking number and had no response despite seeing that he is active on the forum.

I am now going to contact JohnK and explain the situation to him.

This is just a warning to others.
