I disagree, maybe the offers to sell BTC for gift cards are, but I have had almost 10K in successful trades thus far. Only about 5K with international sellers. This turned out to not be a scam either. Just very poor communication. I'm more concerned with Moneygram now than Paxful.

Alright then please lock the thread and hope it all works out for you.

Yes, it said "The money has been picked up by the receiver." on the transaction page even a day after the dispute when I last checked. He told me to go the store, and when they wouldn't give me the money back I assumed he was lying and had it.

"The money has been picked up by the receiver." -  Aren't you the receiver or did you put in a 3rd party contact to collect it ?

Or maybe he sent it to one of his own contact and make it seem like it was legitimately sent out.
No, I was buying BTC with MoneyGram.

Owh my bad, rather blind today. Then if it's shown that it's picked up and you have the receipt , i hope you win the dispute though paxful isn't the best place to trade and support usually doesn't do much. I'd say 70% ads there are scams.

Please delete this, I am so glad I was wrong. The language barrier must have been an issue. What I said in my PMs was the truth and the moneygram site said received (and on the phone and in store) , but now it says waiting for pickup....?

Probably waiting for you to pick it up . I supposed you received the refererence number since you managed to check the transfer status online?

Hello, I have been purchasing BTC from LocalBTC and Paxful for a couple years now, and have only ever lurked on these forums. After this experience though I am definitely going to be spending real time on here.
What happened:: Purchased BTC from Nelson90_BTC via MoneyGram on Paxful.com

Scammers Profile Link: https://paxful.com/user/NELSON90_BTC

Reference Link:
Amount Scammed: $980
Payment Method: MoneyGram
Proof of Payment: https://imgur.com/a/iMkDBpu
PM/Chat Logs: In Imgur album
Additional Notes: I thought his 30 minute payment window was sketchy, but I ignored it thinking it had to do with volatility. Because of this he sent deposit info in our first trade chat. I know it was an error to try and tell the mod about a past transaction with MoneyGram errors, but I was quite frantic at the time. I've never had to open a dispute on Paxful or LBTC until now, and I'm not quite sure how I lost. I'm not sure if this is ok for the forum, but I don't know where else to leave feedback for this scum. I feel as though the scammers constantly changing story is proof enough. Let me know if there's anything else I can add for authenticity. I know rep is everything and I have none here.
