trust no one! Use escrow!

Ain't that counter intuitive  Roll Eyes Trust escrow, but no one - is escrow no one ? What if escrow runs ? Suffer Aurangzeb syndrome much ?  Tongue

Use a 2 of 3 transaction so that the escrow cannot run.

My point is - you have to trust someone - without trust in life, it is a sad sad one (thus the reference to Aurangzeb - who had this syndrome of trusting no one). Yes, you can say someone will have to gain trust, but the blanket statement of "trust no one" is not correct, IMHO.

Hello friend,

I am a Nigerian prince and I have an inheritance of 25,000,000 Bitcoins in need of liquidation. However, they are currently caught up in a highly encrypted wallet. I lost the stickynote I wrote the password on and I must rent a supercomputer to decrypt the wallet. If you would so kindly send me 18 Bitcoins to pay for the endeavor, I will cut you 5% of my inheritance in Bitcoin form.

Interesting...

Please, Continue!

  • Use escrow
  • Don't "invest" in some crazy scheme, only deal with licensed businesses
  • Be not a borrower or lender (banks demand collateral for a reason)
  • Deal only with trusted users

I have been using bitcoin for years now and have never been scammed.

Use Escrow.

Don't trade with new users with no reputation.

If you do both of this things you will not be scammed. Its simple!

The #1 thing you need to know is there are a lot of scammers in this forum. Doing a deal here is like gambling... with the mafia.
