There are over dozens of meme coins that are now almost dead or dead already because they are the most trending hype in last bull market.

Today the next big thing is called Artificial intelligence and as a coinmarkcap user I am seeing many new A.I projects, I investigate two newly listed on CMC and I found out they are rubbish,  it seems the Doge and INU race is over, now it's A.I call for scammers.

Most new projects listing on CMC are now having _____ AI name, for example AkitaAI, StableAI etc, there is nothing to be expected of these new projects, they are here to grab some attention that won't last and they will make tons of money doing so, it's always the money race.

based on previous experience when dogecoin surged in the market and shiba inu took part after the Dogecoin movement. In my opinion, the case that you described is almost the same as what was done by the previous Doge and Shiba team, they continued to campaign and even the Doge and Shiba team and community influenced the crypto world at that time so that many investors joined in including Elon Musk. but for the case that you mentioned in crypto AkitaAI, I don't think StableAI will have any effect and they will not succeed in deceiving many people.

They will really check out on what buzzwords they can use to further their agenda. They will check what the masses think of X feature before they integrate that into their altcoin and market it. That's what most of them are doing and sadly, some are successful in doing so. How would you integrate AI in a cryptocurrency anyway? If anything, you might just as well buy shares from an up and coming AI company if AI is what your main concern is. At least you'll be seeing results and progress, and you'll see your money getting its appreciation over time, too.

Since the use of AI terms becomes a trend because, obviously scam project will use it to their bait in order to make unsuspecting investors  invest in their scams.  It is always normal that  cash grab projects will ride the trend.  So we better be careful when dealing or investing in new projects that uses trends and hyped to boast their project popularity.

Fraudsters use the most popular utilities as their main way of cheating, they are experts in their field so they take advantage of circumstances to cheat.
but I can't stop thinking about why CMC gives recipient value to coins that are not clear and don't have good performance just looking at total sales whereas we know now that there are bots to manipulate prices and sales and as we know CMC is everyone's reference in choosing coin ,

True, scammers even make sure that they project is way more legit looking than the legit one.  Scammers will do their best in order to gain most favorable result then when all are hooked, they will run with investors money.

This always happens like previously when the ICO, DeFi, games, NFT, and also other hype projects in the cryptocurrency world happen, scammers always harvest so much money from their victims. Unfortunately, although there have been so many victims and scams, many people don't take the lessons and still become the victim of the scammers themselves. A very high expectation of being rich quickly is the main reason, so they are expecting very high profits from certain projects. And during the hype, scammers can manage and control to get the victims that are too greedy without any good analysis to invest. This has happened many times but still always happening, seems like never-ending scammers

Yeah, it is the human mind that makes them fall for the scammers and loss everything earned. Many people have experienced it and still people does the same thing. This is not because of the people's greed, but the scammers approach which never makes people have doubt over them. As the market keeps widening we'll see more scammers around.

What we need to understand is that scammers are also constantly increasing their knowledge and information. They sometimes make reasonable projects, but in the end, they turn them into scams.
Perhaps, they are making this for a living which makes them push themselves even if it can ruin their reputation. And I believe that they are immune to such things and they will continue their doings no matter what.
Scammers are smarter than us, than normal investors which is why they can easily trick us and fall into their hands. I would admit that I once become a victim of this act, investing in hype projects but unfortunately, all of a sudden my money is gone. That experience gives me the realization and to step out from investing in new projects.

I have been watching this trend since side-chain coins/coloured coins. We have experienced lots of scams in the name of ICO/masternode/IEO/Defi/NFT/meme etc etc. At the end of the day, bitcoin is staying stronger and the people who opted only bitcoin found themselves richer and those who risked in trendy hypes might have got chances to see some profits among many losses.

I also got scammed with few POS and masternode coins; when APR is not realistic then it would be better not to touch them and better try LTC/ETH kind of long running coins if you want something else other than bitcoin. Yes, bitcoin should be given first priority and then for 10% of our total capital, we may risk in few selected altcoins.

Apart from bitcoin and ETH, all other altcoin projects can be said to be scams, with no technology, no utility, and no actual application...it's all just a pumping and dumping game. We need to realize that if we want to profit from altcoins, then we gamble, once profitable we should get out, don't think this is cutting edge technology, the technology of the future. All altcoin projects are fake products, the real purpose is still pumping and dumping and disappearing from the market. Cryptocurrency is a money game, it is too early to say this is a technological revolution.

It's no wonder that now they will use Artificial Intelligence to deceive their potential investors. If we see it, scammers are always trying to deceive investors with something that is currently hype, for example, ICO, IEO, NFT, Meme coin, and many others examples.

What we need to understand is that scammers are also constantly increasing their knowledge and information. They sometimes make reasonable projects, but in the end, they turn them into scams. There's plenty of evidence for that. Therefore, as potential investors, we also need to increase the knowledge and information we have before investing. If you don't want to take the risk out of it or don't really know what research should be done before investing, then the alternative is to only invest in highly trusted assets like bitcoin or popular altcoins.
Unfortunately the target of these scammers are the one who are just starting out on crypto. Trendy things makes people want to take part of it and this is why scammers are doing their best to be included on the current market trend just like you mentioned. Most of these newbies doesn't really have enough knowledge on what they are doing. Most likely they are just there to invest and make money and because the investment they made are on trend, The possibility of making good profit is increase. But yeah, There are scammers know how to pretend good and we will never know that they are a scammer until they made a move on scamming or after they drained peoples money. There are many newbies that just want to make profit and this is proven on the past bull market, We can see how many newbies are getting scammed everyday.

Of course scammers would use anything that they could in order to earn that is what they do for a living.
It is our job as an investor to know which one is real and which projects are fake.
Most of the time they are successful due to the investor's greed, they would try to imitate the successful or trendy projects with a lower entry price so that the newbie's would jump on them.
it's always best to educate so that we could distinguish real project with fake ones.
most of the time people that are too greedy are uneducated ones, they think they are special individual choosen to be rich by the devs
meanwhile that's all just illusion honestly, because the devs themselves also wanted to make money off you.
there's nothing but illusion of chance in generating profit will all these shitcoins usually.

In a speculative market there will be always demand for such products, even though a portion of investors know what these investments are about and invest anyway, hoping to be early adopters, so they can make some profit before the scheme collapses, just like the mindset of hyip programs' early investors. I won't deny there is chance of profit on such investments, but due to the lack of fundamentals and solidity on these projects, personally I prefer to avoid them.
that's 100% true, it's just hyip scams all over again, it's just like when people following ponzi trying to be number 1 basically profitting off the late people that have no idea what they are truly investing into, same thing with these kind of shitcoins that was used for money grabbing.
even if some people understand 100% that these kind of coins is just waiting for its collapse or will eventually have no value they are still trying to bet their money into it because they know there's gonna be other victim that they could use for liquidity, they are trying to compete with the devs of these shitcoins but we all know who's gonna win, it's always the devs that could manipulate the market heavily and also posessing huge chunk of coins because shitcoins tokenomics are shit in the first place.

This might be true, there's pattern in regards of some of the shitcoins that was created and I think it's true that some of the shitcoins might be coming from the same team for money grabbing.
they are keep creating more and more shitcoins hoping that some might fall and "invest", it's more rampant in meme coins where every day quite literally there's release of new meme coins because meme coins are already shitcoin in the first place so they don't have to get too invested in creating whitepapers etc.

With the hype comes the scam, investors should be warned to keep off from most hype projects because a lot of them have led to massive lose in the past and we need to be cautious at this moment to avoid falling into this scheme called projects with lots of hype but no usercase and ecosystem to support the acclaimed popularity and hype.
* This project can easily pull an exit scam and dump coin on the face of investors, take Luna tera coin for example.

As long as there are people falling for schemes, scammers would exist. The best way for them to do such things is to take advantage of what is popular and those are hyped projects. Indeed this industry revolves around demand but be sure you are following the right path.
From experience, these projects have been created by same teams who keep continuing same cycle until reaching threshold. The useless ideas and worthless tokens are there for reason, even if someone from 100 viewers fall in trap it is profit for these scammers. Imagine how much "investment" they get each month on tokens that have no market value or it will never be listed on C grade crypto exchange.
Indeed thre are instances wherein scammers just changes name to victimize people. As long as people are still not learning from scam instances, they'd just continue doing it because they are making profit out of it, as simple as that. This is also a not so gentle reminder to be mindful of what you are engaging to simply because it is money we are talking about. We all need to be extra cautious.

Scammers always look up to what's on trend so they can scam people easier and can attract more willing victims to fall for their trap.
Hyped utility coins can be their best asset since lots of people are hooked to them. They will always make money based on the trend so unlucky are those who will fall for their trap.
They can scam through different ways and might as well do everything so their project will look trusted and legit. So once we see that they are offering too good to be true rewards and profit, better do research first and stay away from them.

Scamming is not an easy job, I have to say it requires you to be very good at your job if you want to make money. I could definitely create the most high tech thing with the biggest buzzwords, like some AI coin based on NFT metaverse game for example, look how many hyped things is in there and yet you know what would happen if I do that?

I would not make a dime because I wouldn't be able to do a proper marketing for it. On the other hand these scammers build something with hyped utility, and they manage to steal as much as millions from people and that's beyond my understanding and ability. So scamming is not as easy as you think, it's quite a tough thing to do.

well honestly what would you expect as long as there is fomo going around scammers will always try to take advantage of it they too wanna get that share of money in their wallets but the most important thing is that we're educated enough to know that not all AI coins are worthy of our investments, even majority of them are just money grabbing, a scheme to steal our money. even though surely there'd be always some that'd falls for this scams just like with meme coins in the past that just full of scams.

Scammers know how to take advantage of what's on trend because they can easily find targets for coins that are making noise. They will hype it and take advantage of it that's why being skeptical is necessary so we will not fall for their trap easily. There are other potential coins to focus on and coins that are making noise don't mean that they have a good potential so we must do continuous research so we will not be fooled.

So, if the coin is the most trendy, it does mean that it will now be dead later on? Then what about Bitcoin? But, no that's not how it works. The only reason why those coin's died is because they have nothing special to offer but they are only driven by the hypes.

These AI projects might be new and the first few coins might offer something unique. If ever they boom, then we all know what can happen next. That is there will now be a parade of similar themed coins but we should be careful at them as most of them are now a meme coin and are only riding the hype. Their devs are only hoping that their coins will also get picked up by the public. Well yes, if they get lucky that someone will pick them randomly/carelessly.

even though I've seen rise in AI cryptocurrency that's recently created I didn't see it getting created as much as meme coin in the past where quite literally every minutes there is some random meme coins being generated.
Simply because we are still in bear season, things are going to be bleaker than is understandable. Another thing is that there is no AI junk project that has brought great success yet, so there is no Fomo effect, just 1 project is hyped, and you will see the same thing as memecoin.

but I do agree that scammers will always try riding the train of recently trendy coins just like this AI even though it seems this AI trend is gonna be short lived ones, it's enough to make scammers flock over and created their own versions.
but at the end of the day only the real coins gonna flourish, the shitty ones just gonna lose value over the course of the weeks.
It all started with ChatGPT, and scammers are trying to create a new trend in the market, but it doesn't seem to have any noticeable impact yet.
This just shows that the altcoin market is just a scam, pumping and dumping, no technology is created here.

I'm pretty sure most of the projects named after AI is just hype up the technology and to attract more investors, but in the end most of them are doing nothing and just some kind of schemes to milk the investors money and probably their projects are just bunch of bullshit all over the place with the sprinkles of "AI" words so it makes them more "unique" than the others.

Even though they are using that kind of word, make sure to research everything you can do before even touching these kind of projects. Most of the projects are running the same way like this and ended up into a scam.

I think you were miss understanding with the meaning of AI or Artificial Intelligence, some scammer looking for which one trend for make people believing about their project, due with your project mention above I think potential become scam later because they tried with put the label or name about AI only.

Listing on CMC is easy because when fees payment have been completed will directly listed and make some investor believing with shit or meme coin although few days later drop more than 200%. I have been removed trust with shit or meme coin although have new listing and their roadmap will list on bigger exchange market.

There are hudreds of AI projects around already and at this phase it will be thousands in no time -> https://www.futurepedia.io/

The question is "why is CMC allowing those perceived scam projects to be put on its site?" While starting out in 2017, the CMC was always my point of reference for this industry. Any coin I didn't find there was classified as a scam coin. There were some purchases I made solely based on their listings on CMC and not because anyone hyped them. Now, seeing that many scam projects are getting there and site owner is not bothered but only concerned for monetary gain is not just heartbreaking but appalling. For me, I won't touch anything Al is in it with a pole. I bought into one Al token last year but it's value is almost at zero level now.
You can asks this question to CMC because this isn’t a first time they listing such scam projects. I think still hundreds of scam/dead projects listed here but they didn’t filtering that's why i didn’t following their marketcap data as like coins rank or exchange ranking. Coingecko is better than cmc. Cmc will list any coin just if which coin listed on 1 or 2 exchange.

Well from a scammers point of view it just make sense to always hop on the current hype train because obviously those hyped topic are just generating the most interests of the people at the given time. In addition to that i also think that the share of absolute crypto newbies that are wanting to invest is higher in those hype topics than in the others. I also have to say though, that this type of behavior from scammers is not unique to the crypto world though. Recently there have been many new scam shops appearing on the internet that were all selling firewood. The reason for that was that firewood was becoming so expensive here in germany because of the war. So scammers in every section are always going for the most searched product.

There is a possibility that the next trend will be about AI so that these AI-based projects can get huge profits with the entry of many investors into these projects.
But AI technology itself still needs to be developed so we still need time to see what this AI technology will look like in the future.
If you want to invest in this AI-based project, you have to be very careful because not all of these AI projects can get a lot of attention from investors so they can make you suffer losses later.
And if this AI-based project is also not going to last, it will become like previous trends and be replaced by another new trend.

They are really brutal when it comes to these kinds of frauds and they won't consider anything just to get the things they want from you especially when they see their investors are completely ignorant about pump and dump coins. They will continue to promote the hype until their investors even promote it to others which will cause them great distress later when the price will start to crash and never recover again and when that happened, the people they recruited will gonna blame them for that. That's why in this industry it's better to be independent investors and don't try to drag your families and friends if you wanted to free yourself from blame when things will gonna be wrong after the hype is over.

It is just to notice that scammers will also go along with the trend which I see it was easy for them to scam new investors.
That's very easy on them, they've been with the market for a long time and they follow the trend. So whatever is new to the market, they are also adopting it.
Whilst, the newbies they're targeting have no idea what's about to come to them. If ever they fall for their bait of using some hype terms and projects, they'll really be scammed and will buy a token that has no use at all, no utility or such. And that's like that they've just given the scammers money in exchange of a useless coin/token.

It is just to notice that scammers will also go along with the trend which I see it was easy for them to scam new investors.
They certainly look promising as we can see, in fact, many investors had also gained profit with them. Literally, we could think that it was a legit project but behind those good experiences that early investors have, it replaces regrets and sorrows because it turns into a scam while new investors put their money into them.

This would tell us that we need to stay away from hype and new project because these projects have been controlled by scammers.

Most new projects listing on CMC are now having _____ AI name, for example AkitaAI, StableAI etc, there is nothing to be expected of these new projects, they are here to grab some attention that won't last and they will make tons of money doing so, it's always the money race.
Scammers are always there. Whatever the hype is, they will follow because they know that a huge amount of money can go there since investors really don't want to miss the train thus, they will invest in what's hype currently.

From NFT's to ICO's to DeFi's to Meme coins and now AI. Investors wanted to have a piece of it hoping that they will make some money and because of the desperation to make money, they often fall into the traps of these scammers who have a very attractive sales pitch attractive enough to get some newbie investors out there. That's why scammers are still scamming because there will still be investors who will get scammed on their end.

As for me, F*ck those scammers. I will not fall into their trap. I've seen numerous scam projects already especially in crypto and I've already built my own basis into whether which are scams and which are not. I'll just hope that only few investors will fall into these A.I scam coins.

Scammer infiltration in any new development is something we should be used to by now, and the earlier we develop a proactive measure to stay ahead of scammers the better for us, as scammers will not seize to exist in fact their number is multiplying every day with a new tactic so the earlier we protect our investment the better for all of us and the sectors of the market that are majorly afflicted with scam activities lately is.
*Altcoins projects e.g NFTs, meme coins and web3, this is the most trending spot for scammers and the market is filled with 100s of projects that are potential scams.

even though I've seen rise in AI cryptocurrency that's recently created I didn't see it getting created as much as meme coin in the past where quite literally every minutes there is some random meme coins being generated.
but I do agree that scammers will always try riding the train of recently trendy coins just like this AI even though it seems this AI trend is gonna be short lived ones, it's enough to make scammers flock over and created their own versions.
but at the end of the day only the real coins gonna flourish, the shitty ones just gonna lose value over the course of the weeks.

that's simply just how it is, they know where there is trend there is good flow of investments either from competent and incompetent investors and they know that doesn't matter how shit their project is, they gonna get that share of investments flowing into their shitcoins, this thing will get repeated more and more even decades into the future as long as these scammers still exists so basically it's normal occurence, if you want preventing this, you need to educate the people.

Not something new and its been  pretty common that these coins would be flooding out the market on the time on which trend that we are currently dealing with.Just like into those time where Defi
is on the main hype which it is really just that common to have those names and now that we are in AI then scammers would really take some advantage into this one since they do know that
most investors are really trying to look for something AI projects which could potentially make out some huge profits once it do gets pumped but be careful since most of them are just
money grabbers. When you do get that sufficient experience then pointing out these things are really that too obvious.

Well, the truth is that - scammers will always find a way to trick people. They are getting smarter which could trick us if we are new here and most especially, you are a greedy person. Because even though how much we work on spreading scam awareness and their technique if we are also too blind not to see it due to attractive rewards, it still makes no sense. It is not a war between one person or two against these scammers but should also be a war for everyone who is here. We can't stop them if not all remain too naive not to see how scammers trick us.

Scammers will not stop anytime soon. As long as they can see opportunity, they will grab it.
It is now on the hands of the users how they will prevent getting screwed by these scammers.
If people will stop patronizing projects that are dubious, maybe scammers will lessen their numbers.
However, we can't deny the fact that a lot are still hoping that they will get rich on this market, thus, trying to jump on hyped projects.

I think that there are some requirements before you can put your token on CMC and I believe that it is much harder than coingecko where most DeFi token is listed there. Coin market cap won't make their coin listing website a trash by asking money from other just to list them despite of a scetchy background. As far as I know tthere are certain requirements like daily trading volume, being listed on a public exchange as I've did a simple search in this forum. I don't know if it was updated or changed since it came from 2018. There are many scammers that are really smart and dedicated to scam you people that's why they are doing there best to pretend trusted and utilizing any trend that will encourage you to put your money into them.

It was listed on the FAQ:

What is the criteria for a cryptocurrency to be listed on CoinMarketCap?

The criteria for a cryptocurrency to be listed is the following:

- Must be a cryptocurrency or a crypto token.
- Must be on a public exchange with an API that reports the last traded price and the last 24 hour trading volume.
- Must have a non-zero trading volume on at least one supported exchange so a price can be determined.
- For market cap ranking, an accurate circulating supply figure is required.

If you'd like to have a cryptocurrency listed and it meets all of the criteria, please fill out the request form.

That has become something that is certain, because regardless of anything they always take action when there is hype which will definitely be very profitable for them. An example when Squid Games is very booming and we know what coins are used as a means of fraud for them. now is not much different because things like this are definitely done. Because of this they make it an opportunity by piggybacking big names so that the target believes.

Scammers knows how to follow the trend because this is their golden opportunity to take advantage against the newbies and copy the top project to attract more investors, this is not new because on every trend they are there and now if AI will take another chance to hit the crypto market, probably scammers will be more active this time. I suggest to list all those AI project and analyze where to invest, don’t just get hyped do your part as well to analyze.

Obviously, the scheme of appearance of these projects is not new and has already been worked out by past hypes, such as DeFi or Metaverse. People are now often paying attention to the topic of AI, it is often talked about in the crypto community. Many tend to believe that there will be a big hype around these projects in the next bull run and the tokens of these projects will start to grow quickly. Developers see which way users are thinking and start creating tokens that touch on AI in one way or another, although these projects have little to do with the topic of AI and are only created to quickly enrich the creators of these tokens.

I mean what will anyone expect anyway. It is not just that scammers are following these trends like you mentioned (AI and stuffs). There are also just carbon copy of these projects that people are seemingly try to milk out even if they are not intentionally scamming people. Kind of a lazy business.

NFTs arrived and there were low effort NFT images and even a dick picture that sold millions and millions. Like you said in the last sentence, it is all just money race. Outside crypto, there were unsolicited emails back then when people were communicating almost always via email, but now that we got Facebook and Twitter, shit just went through the roof all over the place.

Weeks ago also the Fetch.ai (FET) moons way ahead of the rest of the altcoins which is most probably where they got the idea because of the ChatGPT. AIs are the most hyped these days and MS and yahoo had been reporting it every now and then since it's been throughout the articles that it will make them competitive again with google.

One thing I noticed about projects is that when they are over hyped It give space to such because technically, any projects that is over hyped often turns out to be scam. Although there are real AI projects but due to the cause of scammers people are now skeptical about put their resources especially me. I am hardly being moved with the AI hype and happenings, I would rather look down to those trusted and reliable projects. I don't think there's nothing scammers won't try to fake, during ico, crowdfunding, IEO, IDO and more, scammer used that medium to victimized those with little or no knowledge in the crypto race.

Looking like you made a dozen to be in hundreds instead of 12. Apart from the cryptocurrency market, scammers always use what is trending to scam people.
When it was NFT, there was NFT scam;
When exchanges started newly it was the bases for scam;
Decentralized finance had scams;
Web3 and wev3.0 scammers are there;
AI and ChartGpt scammers are also there.

You have to get used to the market because that's how the developers go. When they see the new trend, they comes up with a quick idea on what they should do. Like those hype days for the meme coins, as you've mentioned they'll make projects that has inu on its last name just as the shiba inu trend and the rest follows.
The same goes with ai, as we're about to enter the next bull cycle, they're going to be around us trying to enticed a lot of investors going with the projects that they've come up with.

Naturally. With the recent boom of ChatGPT and other AI-related stuff, I don't doubt they already were making preparations for some random project that uses the tech-savvy term "AI" to bait some new investors out there. Even NFT's haven't stopped, so I reckon AI stuff would continue for a pretty sizeable amount of time. I honestly just avoid any investment that has buzzwords but no solid result. Even if I consider that they're just making me a sort of start-up investment, there's way too many projects like them that are pretty much empty words only after all.

So anyway, I applied as a merit source :)
Those among us who have been learning how the scams operate know that all scammers attempt to use the SEO of a new buzzword to generate their views because the more views you draw from the general public, the more chances that a less informed gullible newbie will fall for that trap. We are knowledgable about such scams and thus we try to advice newbies not to go for them but very few users actually pay heed.

Besides a lot of the victims who get scammed feel for their greed and they are the ones to blame for their own losses.

Gradually you will see that the previous buzzword-driven coins are going to a stagnancy while their investors go to the slow pain zone.

Almost certainly artificial intelligence related project does not require blockchain. Simply there aren't any significant or requisite use cases to be incorporated, currently. It is widely known, perhaps, by experienced cryptocurrency users that a worthless token is always incorporated into what is currently happening. In fact, that is how they make a buzz.

It seems truly lucrative for them since there will always be a new newbie target within this space, and due to the pseudonymity nature of cryptocurrency, it makes them flexible to do their scam method. We know that there is various method of scams in the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Artificial Intelligence has been discovered since long time ago, but now the improvement seems to become more crazy and will replace few human jobs. Actually every coins including Bitcoin are using AI, so it's misleading if AI only implemented for AI coins. If you read about few AI project's whitepaper, you will see they're not offering any use case and only using AI name to gain traffic.

However scammer isn't only use the most hyped utility, but the most hyped in everything including the death of Kobe Bryant and Queen Elizabeth.

Yeah, even NFT's that has been stop, they continue to scam people with it. Just recently came across one news about it, but I totally forget which company it was though.

But in any case, anything that's hype in crypto, scammers are going to take advantage of it. How? creating fake websites and phish crypto investors for their password. So the moral in this case it that we really need to be very careful and vigilant specially with the huge project in the AI industry/sector.
