crumbs was banned? link? so tard Inaba and other scammers don't get banned or scammer tag and he gets banned? what for?
Scammers are pretty much celebrated here, until of course after it's too late.
And since many mods are probably "invested" in these scams, what else to expect?

who are the mods in this reference?

P.S. In before 'Hurrr durrr look at you!' ... yes, look at me.  I own my posts.  I don't hide behind the anonymity of the internet, for better or worse on what I post, as least I own it, which is far more than I can say for most of the super-trolls around here.
I have searched google for an Inaba in MO but cannot find one.   Are you sure you own your posts and post under your real name?

It should be a requirement to use your real name on this forum... it would cut down on the trolling dramatically.  I have absolutely zero problem with peoples real name being published if they are acting like ass hats on the internet.  If you want to act like an idiot, you better be prepared to tie your horse to that wagon.  Doing it anonymously is unacceptable, and I have zero sympathy for whiney little brats who want to fling poo all over the internet  and not suffer the real life repercussions, such as they might be.

It's why I routinely use the real name of the super trolls like Christian "Xian" Antkow, Darrin "Bicknellski" Bicknell, etc... when people do a Google search on their names, they should be identified for exactly what they are and it should follow them forever more.  Hopefully it will be a deterrent to others from acting in completely irrational, crazy manner as a matter of routine.  Probably fighting against the tide with that one, but what can you do.

P.S. In before 'Hurrr durrr look at you!' ... yes, look at me.  I own my posts.  I don't hide behind the anonymity of the internet, for better or worse on what I post, as least I own it, which is far more than I can say for most of the super-trolls around here.

You have no choice but to make your info public, you made that decision when you took a high profile job,Hurrr durrr........   Roll Eyes

And...

Examples right here about how these people act.

It is about derailing and personal attacks. Simple solution use pseudonyms in everything you do so that they won't dox you and threaten you and your livelihood. Funny it doesn't suprise me that yet another BFL henchmen chimes in and gladly I have Fractal on ignore as well.

The best option and the only option ignore their BS keep posting the truth about the fact BFL is probably the worst company providing mining equipment in my humble opinion based on the 1000's now literally 1000's of posts and complaints about them. Just keep on informing everyone you can of their common practices all well documented here in the forums.

1. Failure to deliver on time.
2. Failure to deliver on spec.
3. Failure to refund according to FTC regulations.
4. Multiple product failures and under performance.
5. Abusive and defamatory comments to derail and deflect threads off topic in a effort to mask 1 - 4.
6. Consistently misrepresent delivery dates of products.

Whether the Moderators do anything to protect those who point this out has been answered. They won't. So yet again the community has to protect against this by using multiple / anonymous accounts. Freedom to post as yourself here in this forum died the minute moderation didn't follow through on this promise:

Code:
In all cases, do no harass or stalk people. Keep your behavior civil and professional.
Harassment will be ruthlessly deleted or edited until it is a mockery of the poster
(in all cases edited posts will be marked accordingly). If you are in doubt about a behavior
it is probably harassment. Don't do it.  If you feel you need to investigate a party that has
scammed you, take it to the scam accusation sub-forum.  Be the better man: Just because
someone is a jerk that doesn't justify you becoming one.

At this juncture it is clear there is a PATTERN of stalking / harassment from Inaba, BCP19, Fractal02, Josh_BFL, SLok and the mods can't really be that oblivious to this pattern. It is a pandemic. I am not talking about back and forth tit for tat I am talking decidedly 1-way traffic of attacks on many members who have voiced valid and factual opinions regarding BFL and their business practices.

If you won't moderate then at least remove the code of conduct that is not being moderated... and then explicitly warn everyone that they risk being abused, and threatened and their anonymity being threatened if they voice opinions or post in an effort to inform the community. Sad, very very sad but this forum is not free. It is not a place where there is open and honest discussion going on particularly with regards to what BFL is doing. At this point most of the problems in the forums are a result of the behavior that goes unchecked and counter to what Gmaxwell posted as a point of order on the conduct in this subforum. Every strong democracy allows for debate within a set standard of decorum and it is clear that those on the ProBFL side are not living up to those set standards. If one takes the higher road they continue to malign and defame people without exception or moderator intervention.

Be a mensch and dig up the post where I actually apologized to Josh for that same comment, if you are dredging up the past.

EDIT: While you're at it, why don't you dredge up the entire flame-war (both sides, please) from December 2012 to June 2013 when BFL were claiming that us preorder customers would be receiving product "in two weeks", to give our viewers some historical context as to why I lost my cool.

Xian01 = Zero credibility
Do you want i dig and show up some of your insulting threads ?

"Eat bags of Di**s" no...you don't remember this one...?

I found a good advice for you from somebody you know pretty well  Grin

If you had just been honest from the start and been a genuinely decent and nice person (read: trolling begets trolling), there could have been a better-than-good chance I (and many of us) would have been a happy customer and even became acquaintances over our interest in Bitcoin.

You created your problems with this community and myself with your horrible customer service, presence on these forums, and delay after delay, Josh.

Why can't you accept responsibility for this and keep trying to paint us out as the bad guys due to your own shortcomings ?

This kind of behavior is almost psychotic.

But when you find this kind of video near some other where he explain how great school he run...(Brrr man...you work with children right ?)

No, I don't. And that simply isn't how this forum is run. Use the ignore button. My powers are limited to deleting posts and threads, moving threads, editing posts, locking, stickying, and wagging my finger— and all just in the subforums where I am a moderator.  If it makes you feel better go ahead and keep on imagining that I'm a misbehaving servant and that you can get something by trying to order me around or impugning my character. My ignore button works fine too, seemingly better than yours. Tongue

taking there money

Seriously, to allow BFL to advertise here when the majority of the community wish nothing more to do with them as a disgrace.

Yes, allow Anaba his fun posting (providing no names ext) but hang a big fat warning over his and the related members posts.

But advertising, shame on you. Shame for the community.

Let the members of the forum vote on this issue and act with the community interests.

Guy's,BFL pays the bills here...........nuff said  Roll Eyes

The paradox remains. One can see posts calling out HF from a moderator yet none calling out BFL. That to me is the take away. The community needs to protect itself from BFL and HF and not rely on the mods to be there to do anything about egregious and predatory behavior of these companies and their spokesmen and women. Noting that if you go after BFL or HF or any other company the mods will not be their to moderate the attacks from said spokesmen on our practice to get facts out to the community.

Time to move forward and have some people use multiple secondary accounts so that they can remain anonymous when posting against the likes of BFL. It is the only safe way to do it. Personally my livelihood was threatened by Inaba on a number of occasions with lies and defamatory comments some of which still remain in my trust on this forum and in the multiple threads. I would respectfully submit that no one is safe to post without fear of threats and defamation especially with regards to BFL and their hatchetmen. So much for a "free" forum it is a sad day when you have to HIDE behind a pseudonym just to tell the truth, the ignore button can't protect me from that unfortunately.

So basically the forum is unmoderated and rules for posting are merely suggestions. Got it. Why are we even bothering discussing this then? I'll just go back to reporting Inaba on a regular basis as I come across his quotes in thread that are defamatory and continually hit BFL over the head with their own customers complaints as shaming them is the only thing that might save just one person from buying into BFL. I am sure you know what I mean.

There is clearly a PATTERN.

If you can't moderate based on that what good is it having moderation.

There is a concerted effort to defame people and lie and having had to report more than 20 to 30 of these alone from Inaba on my reputation at what point does a sanction get implemented? I get you are busy and have a life and all but at some point you know what is happening here right. I am just one person that has been lied about continuously by the "pro"BFL types and Inaba himself.

What can you do? Warn em. Ban em. Right? It isn't about freedom of speech or openness it about people purposefully intending to derail every thread that negatively reflects the REALITY of the BFL situation. At some point you have to be an honest arbiter in this do you not?

I do think you're being too hard on gmaxwell specifically.

The problem is far above him.

Hint: it would be the guy who profited by withdrawing all his funds from the pirate ponzi before it collapsed

There are social and business networks driving activities on this site that simply aren't visible to the casual visitor.

If he can't fix the fucking problem don't try and weigh in on HF and other scams. I get a bit pissed-off at the regularity of the BFL personal attacks without any repercussions. At some point you have to moderate or quit. I respect the Gmaxwell he is more than moderately intelligent and a fair minded person but at some point you have to do the job. All I am asking.

seriously: just put josh on ignore.  He never has anything constructive to contribute so you will miss absolutely nothing.  You might not like his personal attacks, I certainly don't, but you should realize that absolutely no one gives the man any credibility here any longer.

Have you ever asked yourself why he has so much rage?  It's the knowledge that he has absolutely zero influence in this community.

I have had him on Ignore as I have Slok and BCP19. But the pattern continues. Doesn't matter if we report it, ignore it or respond to it. The pattern remains and it is clear there is no excuse for allowing that sort of flagrant misuse of this forum. It is farce at best the guidelines imposed here if you continue to allow it to happen. I seriously want people to be WARNED off BFL and I think that is something that has VALUE in this community. It is our job to do that given that the Moderators are not doing this, they have basically said just in this thread you are "stupid" for buying BFL. I agree. BFL is not a good choice for your BTC or $ and that is proven time and time again by the posts in their own forums on reddit and here in this forum.

You've reported Inaba 27 times,  Bicknellski.  There is a pattern, indeed.  But I suspect that pattern is you being far too easily trolled for the norms on Bitcointalk. Bringing up the moderator interface there are a bunch of reviewed and rejected reports from you (not just or even mostly ignored me, I believe)— apparently not me or MiningBuddy or any of the global mods who've seen these reports thought they were suitable to respond to (I think maybe removed a post or to here or there when they were flagrantly and completely off-topic—).

LOL.... easily trolled.

My word how simplistic.

You would think at 27 I would simply give up.

Look through what I have posted and what he has posted you tell me who is being easily trolled.

If you don't want to moderate then don't but don't come off like you don't see what this guy is doing purposefully every time he posts. It isn't just me. The doxxing of Xian01 repeatedly is something that is just beyond me. You can throw the blame back on those posting FACTS and EVIDENCE but really at what point do you jump in and sanction someone if ever? There is a pattern. We all see it. What will the moderators do to rectify this?

WRT offtopic, things which are not at all related to the buying and selling of hardware— including garbage like posting pictures of various peoples family member and other grade-school rubbish are offtopic and they're going to get moved. If you don't like it, stay the @#$@ out of the subforum.

 But doxxing... Doxxing is OK.

+1 Where are the mods on this?

It is clear that has happened and NOTHING has been done. No warnings? No bans?

That is just beyond belief.

I am talking about nearly every thread created by BFL pitching their ASICs in the late spring / early summer of 2012 being hidden in off-topic.
Hm? Link me to some of them.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitforce-sc-full-custom-asic-83985
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/id-be-treated-with-more-respect-if-i-paid-18k-at-a-car-dealership-89922
I'm sure there are many more, but that should be enough to make the point.

"I'd be treated with more respect if I paid 18K at a car dealership." isn't a thread created by BFL pitching their ASIC.

The other is though, heck if I remember why it was moved— and it was _probably_ me that did it, as I think I've done most of the thread moves in the form. If it was it might have been because by the end of it was totally offtopic and I wanted people to start new ones, or it could have just been a mistake.  I'll ask that it be moved back.

A lot of both the PRO and ANTI BFL people behaved in ways that made me think they were double-agents really shilling for the opposite side. I've seldom seen behavior so reprehensible.

It got badly out of hand.

Of course, in the same time frame if you said pirateat40 was running a ponzi scheme, or mining bonds were an investment designed to part fools from their money you would be flamed into oblivion.

It's a shame the message of "I'd be treated with more respect if I paid 18K at a car dealership." didn't get through.  The idea that it is reasonable to pay 100% upfront months in advance of delivery has cost many, many people on here huge chunks of money.  I did spectacularly well investing in FPGAs that everyone thought were worthless because of the fraud perpetrated on this community by BFL.

Better yet, they soaked up most investment money interested in Bitcoin so difficulty stayed largely flat from June '12 to Feb '13.

Thanks Josh! :-)

Heh, I have one of the mods on this subforum on ignore, the guy is a disaster as a moderator IMHO. Crumbs might have stepped on a few toes but I didn't see any reason for him to be banned (not that I have read ALL his posts but what I have read would not have qualified for the ban hammer).

Bring back crumbs, I miss the old chap!  Grin

Crumbs went way overboard.

Make your point, defend yourself against attacks, and move on.  50 posts a day in the same thread really didn't help his case.  I actually started to suspect he was there to make the naysayers look bad.

I think most of the activity in Activemining threads is one person talking to his socks.

I think someone needs to take a close look in the mirror, lol!

Wait a sec, would you be talking about the picture of one of Active Mining's directors?  The one where he's tied up in the trunk of a 70s Dodge parked smack in the middle of an empty warehouse?  The warehouse that was supposed to be Active Mining's sole production facility?
That family picture?
Since Ken's company is staffed exclusively by people whose last names are "Slaughter," it's kind'o tough to talk about the company without dragging the family into the pic.

I have Inaba on ignore.  But I assume he's busy claiming to not be a liar.  Here is case in point, posted today:

Update on BFL Black Friday Jalapeno purchase:

I've only opened two so far. One of the 9Gh/s models was running extremely hot (75c) so this was my first victim/patient. I opened it and found 3 chips installed (new version), firmware 2.92 label, a test date of 12/21 (so much for "in stock for immediate delivery"), and the fan blowing down onto the chips. I flipped the fan, replaced the thermal pad with artic silver alumina, put a layer of alumina between the bottom of the board and the aluminum plate and it is now running at 9+ Gh/s at a much more reasonable 61c.

And since many mods are probably "invested" in these scams, what else to expect?
Wait.  I can get paid for our communities inability to keep from getting itself ripped off???

How many threads full of BFL's lies from 2012 were moved from this forum to 'OFF-TOPIC'?

Moderators have taken an active and quite biased role in the development of this ridiculous business model.

That's easy to answer! The answer is 0.  You're the only proven liar here so far that I know of.  The moderators need to moderate more and remove all the trash that clogs up this subforum... if they were "in" on anything, they'd be removing all the useless junk people like you post.  Since your utter trash remains, it stands to reason the mods aren't "in" on anything... if only they were, life would be so much more pleasant without people like you around, spewing lie after lie because you are butthurt over something trivial.

I'm just saying there is a conflict of interest.
You might be saying it, but it's not true. I'm curious as to why you think it.

(This thread is offtopic too— but since you're accusing the moderators here, I suppose it falls with an acceptable level of meta at least in its own thread)

I can't say when they were moved, but there were many threads full of claims that were obviously false by early 2013 that were no longer where they belonged when I looked in that time frame.

Who moved them?  And why?

The other person "Nick Danger" is also crumbs (Another troll that was already banned) and will hopefully be banned once I mod realises this
[ravings]

Again I ask you, Bargraphics, whose sock are you?  You don't really expect us to believe that you joined this forum in June just to unload your worthless TerraHash pre-order to some starry-eyed n00b, in your FIRST POST?

This forum serves no purpose besides slowly but surely robbing users of their coins.
Do not trust anyone, especially at the higher level.
