As per the international law, the Scarborough Shoal belongs to the Philippines. But as we know, the Chinese never respect the international law. They will just invade and take whatever they want. Anyway... it is a small useless shoal. Just give it to the Chinese beggars. That small piece of land is not worth the lives of soldiers.
Yeah they are only following what they want and what they are thinking the dont have a respect for the other countries they are assuming they are the worlds strongest country just because they have the largest country . And it is not good that they are not attending on the UNs bilateral talk . They are claiming the are that they do not actually owned .
China does not have friendly relations with any of its neighbors (including North Korea). See the status of various territorial disputes involving China below. In almost all of the cases, the Chinese have unanimously invaded territory previously controlled by other nations:
1. Territorial dispute with India: China invaded Aksai Chin and Depsang Plains (37,244 sq. km) in 1962. Still remains under Chinese control.
2. Territorial dispute with Russia / USSR: In 1969 China invaded Damansky island. Beaten back by the Russians, with heavy casualties on the Chinese side. However, in 2003, Russia ceded 720 sq.km of territory to China.
3. Territorial dispute with Pakistan: Pakistan ceded the Trans-Karakoram (Shaksgam) Tract (5,800 sq.km) to China.
4. Territorial dispute with Kyrgyzstan: 1,250 sq.km ceded to China
5. Territorial dispute with Kazakhstan: ceded the territory to China
6. Territorial dispute with Tajikistan: 1,000 sq.km ceded to China
7. Territorial dispute with Vietnam: Known as Sino-Vietnamese conflicts of 1979–90. Chinese occupation of parts of Hà Giang Province and Spratly Islands.
