Planetes is one that sticks out in my mind, just got done with it.  It's more hard science fiction though focused on debri collecting in the orbit of earth and the daily lives on the people working in the field.  Give it a look.

Nice, thanks!

Hi!

Please recommend me some good sci-fi manga. I liked the first Ghost In The Shell animation movie a lot. I'm planning to buy the first part of Akira, is it a good choice for a beginner to get into this genre?

thanks  Smiley
