A major breakthrough is sending shockwaves through the medical and scientific communities after scientists announced they have discovered a “switch” that reverses cancer cells.
Researchers in South Korea revealed that they were able to revert cancerous cells back to a healthier stage by activating this molecular-level “switch.”
The discovery has allowed scientists to tap into the critical moment before normal cells irreversibly transform into diseased cells.
By doing so, they halt the progression of cancer and then reverse it.
"tap into the critical moment before normal cells irreversibly transform into diseased cells."
so it doesnt reverse an already diseased cell
reading this doesnt sound like a reversal switch..
.. sounds more like a spread prevention
but does stop the next cell at the critical moment before.. it too becomes diseased
so just a way to stop it getting worse, which im guessing that the scientists then are suggesting, when they halt the progress of cancer to no longer metastasise to lethal amount of spread, people can live with it as benign, where its then more easily able to manage by either living with it as a lump you just have forever, maybe always on meds to stop the spread later. or due to catching it early, it remains operable due to lack of spread, without a literal deadline
