Shitty scamcoin. Pre/Instant mined & held by a very small quantity of users.

My only experience of interacting with the lead dev was him being unable to answer technical questions regarding his cryptocurrency and boiled down to him repeatedly screaming (caps) "AREYOUSCOTTISH?!!?!". Avoid like the fucking plague.

I know it's an old thread, but I found something I want to share about scotcoin.
doesn't look good to me.
watch for this pic on their frontpage on the right column

they claim this is an investor named John Williams
than look at this picture (it's the same)

Actually they took a picture of Johannes Strate, Leadsinger of the german band "Revolverheld".
not a good sign to me, but judge for yourself

In their defense, Coinmarketcap now includes options for filtering out pre-mined and/or unmineable coins. They list all coins by default, but the option is there in the drop-down menu at the top.

All of the country coins are scams.  They are artificially pumped up in value and the volume is ridiculously low.

coinmarketcap.com is extremely irresponsible for posting these coins and using these bullshit market cap calculations which are inherently untrue.  Virtually nobody is buying or selling these coins.

When i asked these guys on their own forum how they could justify a 98% premine and what incentive that left anyone to run the network they deleted my thread.  Twice.  Not a great start.  So I've made a self moderated thread here to show them how to have a discussion without deleting very obvious criticisms.

They say they're going to give out all the coins to the population of Scotland.  In the meantime presumably they have all the coins not yet given out in their possession.  This centralised group now also proposes to dish out coins to active miners above the block reward if they can prove they have had a machine mining for a month.

It seems to me like quite the scamcoin, aiming to cash in on the Scottish independence debate. This is such a shame as instead of making the England based developer a bit of money in a quick pump and dump, a crypto could have been an interesting proposition as part of Scotland's independence, where what currency to use is one of the main topics of debate.

Anyone know anything about this coin? Any thoughts on it?
