BFL's lifetime warranty won't help you here, I'm afraid. Plus I bet a broken asic or fpga miner would do well on ebay?

No, I was thinking that it may be a good idea.  I could take in scrap parts instead of them being thrown away or discarded.

He wants to build miners while people are storing their shit.  He's go free electricity?

Or maybe he's a cataloguephile and enjoys wasting his spare time?

I fail to see the point of this. Is it not just a way for you to waste your time?

I want to propose an official depository start up thread.  I figure it would help establish not only this forum but BTC as a whole.  I've got a good storage space and am willing to catalog any and all scrap parts miners go through or come across and lend/give them out to trusted members.  I figure it could develop into a miniature butterfly labs of sorts.  I don't have much skill with computer repair/hardware.  But I know I can store and catalog parts just fine.

It's only an idea as of right now, I'm looking to see what other miners think of it.
