I only did the testnet part
wish there was an airdrop section for testnet

I think that completing tasks in the test network will be one of the additional criteria for calculating airdrop. And if you are not active in the main network, then you will definitely not receive an airdrop if the team makes such a decision about its distribution.

It seems like that fees have not yet included with the transaction fees to bridge my eth from native eth to the scroll network, right? Thank you so much. I get a small insight about how much gas that must be prepared.

Bridging from native to the scroll may cost a lot of fees. It seems like it needs at least 0,02 to cover the bridge fees as well.

I used the bridge https://app.rhino.fi/, At the moment there is an action until November 14, according to which no commission is charged if you transfer your funds to the Scrool network. To date, this is the cheapest option to replenish the balance in this network, which will cost less than a dollar.

Prior users were preying on projects in hopes of retro airdrop and now it appears projects are taking advantage of users by luring them with tasks such as do this and that, we'll reward you with this and users think, it'll come handy in getting airdrop so they do it.

By the way guys, there's some interesting developments that are ongoing with the Scroll mainnet. This might be a strong criteria for a possible big airdrop in the future.

Despite seeing the announcement, I am still unsure about the specific amounts of ethereum that are necessary for deploying the smart contract. Have you tried it? How much it cost you to pay the gas fees to deploy the smartcontract in the scroll network?

It seems like that i shall do that three times caused by the event being divided into the three times.

One of airdrop channels I follow, gave link to easily deploy smart contract on Scroll network. Deploying basic smart contract cost about 30 cents while token about $2.5.

Here is tweet: https://twitter.com/its_airdrop/status/1717890571304652907

Direct link: https://minter.merkly.com/deploy

Don't use main wallet, just to be safe.

...Regarding sites you mentioned, I find them complicated while merkly one is straightforward, just two options, click and done. ..

I think there will be a lot of similar services now to make it easy to deploy a smart contract, since there is a demand for this service. And Checker Wenser did not stand aside, offering its own version - https://wenser.vercel.app/deploy Here so as you like: press 2 buttons and you're done) The cost of deploying a smart contract will be a little more than $1.

I have never used https://minter.merkly.com/deploy to deploy smart contracts and maybe I will use it in the future. But it's more convenient for me to use https://remix.ethereum.org/ or https://thirdweb.com/ and the cost of deploying a smart contract turned out to be 2 times lower than the one you specified.

Yeah well you do as you prefer. I mentioned that particular site as asriloni was asking for cost and I had some idea about it.

Regarding sites you mentioned, I find them complicated while merkly one is straightforward, just two options, click and done. I have used remix before but only when guidance was available, I understand nothing there.

Hello guys!

As Scroll is already on the mainnet, there are speculations already that this L2 is going to be one of the most-anticipated airdrops ever. They have over $80M in funding before the launch of their zkEVM mainnet.

Scroll's TVL skyrocketed after 24 hours of the announcement from $100k to over $2.3 million.

Before the mainnet was recently launched, I have interacted a lot in both the Scroll Alpha and Scroll Sepolia testnet.

In my own instincts, here are some of the possible multipliers for a possible big Scroll airdrop after the future snapshot date was taken:

1) Transactions in the Scroll Alpha testnet stage
2) Transactions in the Scroll Sepolia testnet stage
3) Transactions in the Scroll mainnet
4) Using the main native bridge of Scroll and other bridges supporting it like Orbiter, Owlto, etc.
5) Scroll OG role in Discord
6) Guild.xyz for Scroll
7) Own a Scroll ENS domain

And possible other ones out there.....

What do you guys think about the possible Scroll airdrop in the future? As this is just a speculation, I would like to hear your thoughts, reactions and opinions about this.

Thanks in advance!

Scroll is a layer 2 project. The Layer 02 projects never give an airdrop to the testnet users.  They are targeting the mainnet users.  If you did the transactions on testnet, there is no value to the final airdrop.

Couldn't agree more, I think most layer2 project main focus for airdrop will be on mainnet users, although looking at arbitrum you would expect other L2 projects to act same way. However, this hasn't been the case, perhaps scroll will be the one to reaffirm airdrop hunters of such hope.

Testnet activities in my opinion no longer carries the same level of hyped it carried during the post arbitrum airdrop. Since nothing has happened since then, thanks to Linea, the interest has gradually died down.  Between they are thr ones farming the airdrop farmers. Grin

For those who are hunting for airdrops, I think they will apply the same criteria as the previous L2s and can increase their volume to have a better chance of competing against active spammers. I see that people's massive FOMO about opportunities is vague and sometimes just a tool for developers to take advantage of the hype about a certain trend for profit. Scroll is also a project that I spend a lot of time reading about, but I actually don't prioritize using it much. Whether it's from the testnet stage or the mainnet stage, I speculate that the criteria for awarding rewards will not be an attractive enough guide.

And in the last few days, I accidentally read some user complaints about their frustration when spending a lot of different fees to participate in activities, but everything is still quite vague. There are many projects that are expected, not only Scroll and they are also dependent on market trends, developers can only argue everything with exaggeration and be sure that they will deliver laughter for users. This blood-sucking game makes me feel that perhaps people need to be more conscious about deciding whether to continue participating in the campaigns that are spreading through different social channels.

If the project is not vague about airdrop, then that airdrop will certainly gonna be worth peanuts. Historically all big airdrops came unannounced.

Regarding farming and losing fees and project not giving airdrop — I understand the frustration but it's just way it is, either don't farm and be genuine in you using projects so if something comes it'll be unexpected surprise otherwise you wouldn't care as there was no expectation in first place.

There are farmers, who farm all potential ones, and if they make it big in one it recoups all other loses.

I wish that this one is going to be the ideal airdrop that is going to scroll us up to the way back when airdrops are being trusted, if this is what is being targeted as you have said, then there's more possibilities towards this project success, there have been lot of scams in which has troubled people's heart towards believing on airdrops hunt but that doesn't mean there aren't few out there that can still be trusted as this one you're introducing.
What about the other past airdrops? I'm not talking about those 2017-era airdrops but those airdrops like ARB, SUI, Optimism, etc... I think many people still considered them as ideal airdrops because they pay really well. Rewards can also depend on the effort and the amount of money that we put it in.

There are still airdrops that are legit. It's just that creating crypto have became easy now or many people got involved with it and want's to try their luck as well. The only bad part is many of them are not producing a good quality project and many only want's to scam the public. If people want a secure income, there are better things that they can do than doing airdrops.

Source: https://twitter.com/Scroll_ZKP/status/1717527880539000849

They've introduced Scroll Origins which is their own commemorative NFT. The only qualification is that you must deploy a smart contract under the Scroll mainnet within the 60 days of Genesis Block starting from October 10, 2023 6 AM GMT.

There are 3 stages such as Quintic, Quartic and Cubic.

Additional info here: https://scroll.io/blog/scroll-origins-nft

Remember Aptos' very first airdrop? The only qualification was to mint an NFT and they've reaped the big rewards.

This also reminds me of the Linea Voyage where they reward us with commemorative NFTs and the rarity is base on the Galxe points we've accumulated. I've got the Beta tier by the way which is the second highest rarity next to Alpha.

Probably by having this commemorative NFT for deploying a smart contract, this will be a potential multiplier for their future airdrop. They also did mentioned some extra surprises for those deployed contracts that are being exceptional.

To know how to deploy a contract in the Scroll mainnet, here's a helpful source from HEADBOY: https://medium.com/@ndidiesonwune/how-to-deploy-smart-contract-on-scroll-mainnet-8c1a3b9490ca

I've taken part in all scroll testnets as well, just because it was free and didn't require much effort, I didn't run node tho, never good with that stuff.

7) Own a Scroll ENS domain

How do you get it?

You can mint one at the Scroll Name Service.

Check the official X post here: https://twitter.com/scrollnsdomains/status/1714274472231117004

I think as much as possible despite not knowing if Scroll L2 will be doing an airdrop in the future, we can farm as many possible multipliers as we want as long we can afford to spend gas fees from time to time.

I also remembered a game called the Omni Kingdoms which was also introduced during the Scroll Alpha and Scroll Sepolia days. Every interaction like training, gold, battle, arena, etc., cost you gas fees.

Not much fancy graphics, but a simple old-school click and interact type of game. They are also on the Scroll mainnet and they're having an ongoing quest on QuestN.

Check here: https://app.questn.com/quest/830990611889221905

I'm keeping an eye on Scroll L2. Can't ignore this especially of having an OG role on Discord which is possibly a strong criteria.

About airdrops on this kind of chain, I can say just think more unique, because for sure they will not do the same as other chains did when they did airdrops before. So you need to consider lot of things here like the volume and number of transactions, because for sure a lot of people who are taking advantage on airdrops, just like "sybil" addresses.

The Scroll is a big project with this kind of Funding, also I used its many features in the Testnet phase with these two as you have mentioned one of them is sepolia. I did some of its tasks through the Taiko Testnet where scroll Testnet was involved. I can smell something from it because I think it will do a big airdrop and we have to use its official bridges as its tasks are also now on the Layer3.

I have been using it since the start of their Testnets and I had already verified all tasks that were on the Laer3, which could be helpful for a big Airdrop from the Scroll Team. Looking at their funding, I think something big is coming from Scroll. We have to interact as much as we can on its Mainnet even as that was before in Testnet. Using its Native bridge would be juicy.

Not too sure about layer3, galx (although, I agree I claimed scroll nfts using it), taskon — these platforms reward poor compared to tasks involved, and not too many projects use them in their criteria. Happy to be proven wrong tho.
