Mining speed using a R9 290 card is 2.5 kh/sec only ! Just imagine that the same card will have only 1 kh/sec when the next N-factor will come (.

GTX 750 Ti: 3.3 kHash/s with some OC  @ 30% TDP (and TDP is only 60 Watts)
ASUS MARS (2x 760Ti): 7 kHash/s
GTX 780: 5.6 kHash/s
GTX 780 Ti: north of 6 kHash/s

just saying...

I've got nothing but respect for what you've done with cudaminer man!  Sadly, I have no background in OpenCL development, so the great improvements you've made in the scrypt-chacha algo at higher lookup-gaps recently are a bit of a mystery to me still.

I think the biggest thing that could advance these coins is simplification of mining - So many people think that the same settings they use for Doge et. al. will work for SC coins, and can't figure out why they're getting hardware errors when they're allocating 512 MB out of a 2 GB card...

The other thing I've had in my plan for a bit - and I'm not even sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing for SC coins - would be multi-coin/multi-algorithm pools.  Think multipool.us, but for yacoin/qqcoin/thorcoin/vertcoin.

I agree !
Mr. Buchner is actively developing the code for Cudaminer. I would invest in the new 750Ti cards that are very good at mining scrypt-jane coins and also very reliable at mining scrypt, having a very low power consumption. You don't need a big and expensive PSU to do the mining and your power bills will be so much reduced. I am sure many farm owners would be interested in that !

Still the R7 240 from AMD is more reliable at mining Yacoin than any card from Nvidia, having 3 kh/sec for the price of 100 USD. I do not deny that in the future you will be able to get much better from Nvidia.
Mr. Buchner is a german and I would *certainly* put the hopes and future of my farms on his code. Judging by his history and the development of his code I would say that not enough people are paying attention to what he does for the community and he would deserve way more donations and attention.

Here is his wonderful piece of software that brought light to Nvidia owners:

Cuda Miner - the best all around mining software for Nvidia cards

Sorry, but why are you saying those coins are undervalued? Severely even. What's their current market-size? And I mean their real market-size - which retailers actually accept any of those as payment?

Well, do they need to be accepted by many retailers in order to have a value ? There are so many coins that are overvalued also not accepted by any retailers.
Someone is stocking a lot on these coins and I know it's the big whales..

The future will never be bright! The time you think it is bright there always happens some dramatical things.

Hi everyone, just wanted to share with everyone what I have observed and also my beliefs regarding the future of the coins.

The coins with a low-minting amount using Scrypt-Jane library algorithms seems like a good investment and mining profit.
They have a chance of suddenly increasing their value as they are severely undervalued.

Example 1: QQcoin

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-qqcoin-scrypt-jane-asic-resistant-n-factor-multipool-resistant-389238

As of now it is the most profitable coin which is reaching an all time low on www.coinedup.com and it is soon going to be listed on mintpal.com which will increase it's reach to potential customers.
The difficulty already increased in the past day from 0.028 to 0.036, that is more than 25 %. People are starting to mine it, coupled with the all time low, we might certainly see a sudden increase somewhere in the next week.
There are a lot of fans of QQcoin in China, I can tell you for sure, just waiting to invest in this coin as soon as they will see a little increase of 2x or 3x in the value of the coin, thus bringing it's value to maybe 10x.
The higher  the N-factor will get on this coin, the harder will be to mine and it will require more memory thus making it unfeasible for developing ASICS for such a coin.
The N-factor schedule and memory required for this coin is:
N-factor 12 at 1396157924 is 03/30/2014 5:38am GMT. 1024 Kb
N-factor 13 at 1400352228 is 05/17/2014 6:43pm GMT. 2048 Kb
N-factor 14 at 1404546532 is 07/05/2014 7:48am GMT. 4096 Kb
N-factor 15 at 1421323748 is 01/15/2015 12:09pm GMT. 8192 Kb

Total amount of coins for this one is 30 million. That is very little compared to billions for other coins. This means that at the current value of BTC the total value of 30 million QQC would be  168 000 USD. You can see how severely undervalued this coin is. There is still a lot of coins to be minted and it is not at the end of it's minting like other coins.

Example 2: Yacoin
This coin had a burst of 30 % in value 2 weeks ago and I am sure that in the future it will go much higher.
Mining speed using a R9 290 card is 2.5 kh/sec only ! Just imagine that the same card will have only 1 kh/sec when the next N-factor will come (.
The N-factor schedule and memory required for this coin is:
N-factor 15       1401545632      Sat - 31 May 2014 - 14:13:52 GMT      8192 Kb
N-factor 16       1409934240      Fri - 05 Sep 2014 - 16:24:00 GMT       16384 Kb

Few other coins like this are: Velocitycoin, Ultracoin, Microcoin but I am just listing the most profitable to mine (way more profitable than scrypt coins).

This is just a hint and also an ideea for the miners regarding which direction they should go. My opinion is that we should mine as much as possible, sell some of it but not all. At least sell as much as to produce the profits you have from your scrypt mining as of now and keep the rest. The future is bright !

Good luck everyone !
