Ok as topic says I need some help getting this GPU past the 290kh/s area.

-I will not mine past 12 and will get nothing but HW errors. Increasing GPU engine will increase kh/s but only minimal. Increasing memclock does not increase speeds at all taking from stock upto max of 10 to 30% no results no improvement on speeds.

Have had a replacement on as thought it was a defective GPU and still this is the same with the replacement. --thread-concurrency 7680 also tried higher and lower making no odds also tried shaders at 1280 as that is the card shaders and processing units still not joy...

Tried ATI drivers 11.11   12,13 and also 13.1 and SKD 2.6 2.7 2.8

Tried almost every cgminer thier is and latest version, BFG miner, Reaper making no different to what am doing.

Can some help with getting this card up to speed. Have seen many people on here posting theri speeds and I  followed a lot of guides and still its liek talking to a brick wall with this GPU lol...

Am open to any help and advise given and settings to try out and also offering a reward in LTC or FC if person or persons can solve my mining problem on this GPU.

Almost forgot Windows 7 x64 8GB ram CPU AMD 8core

With CGMiner, I get 400kh/s. Thread concurrency 28000 (make sure to set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT!) intensity 20, push your memclock as high as it will go, then start your engine clock at half that value and nudge it up until you get the best kh/s. Push it too far and your hashrate will drop. Both my 7870s like 1450 memclock, 975 engine clock.

I've got a 7850. Out of the box it did 250Kh/s. After some tweaking its now averaging 360Kh/s. I think max it would do is 380 headless. So a 7870 should easily hit these values. But alas its not always so easy.

Maybe try a driver cleaner and then install the 13.1 catalyst (App SDK is included)

I'm using afterburner to OC.
No Overvolting
Core Clock: 1050
Mem Clock: 1300
Powertune: +10%
Temperature: 62 C

These are my cgminer 2.11.4 settings:
Code:
"intensity" : "16",
"worksize" : "256",
"lookup-gap" : "0",
"kernel" : "scrypt",
"thread-concurrency" : "8192",
"shaders" : "0",
"expiry" : "120",
"gpu-dyninterval" : "7",
"gpu-platform" : "0",
"device" : "0",
"gpu-threads" : "1",
"hotplug" : "5",
"log" : "1",
"no-pool-disable" : true,
"failover-only" : true,
"queue" : "1",
"scan-time" : "60",
"scrypt" : true

Your results may vary. Set either shaders or thread concurrency, but not both. I would suggest thread concurrency at 8192. Higher worksize can sometimes increase hash rate. Do the setx commands. Start the intensity at 12 and work up. Make sure there are no other apps running that might steal GPU cycles. Make sure your motherboard FSB and PCIe bus speeds are set properly. Aero can be enabled - some report disabling it can reduce performance. Thats all I can think of right now. Give us more details and maybe we can figure it out. Good Luck.

In short. 7870 SUCK at scrypt mining. No idea why, but they just do. Prob because of their inferior shader count. Pushing a 7870 over 400KH/S is almost impossible.

I just started mining ltc with my 7970s maybe I can help. Have a copy of your settings? I can tell you that when I use lower concurrent threads like 8192 for my card and gpu thread of 2 and jumped everything up high.
