I used to be able to print entire threads to one easily searchable page.  I understand the rationale for taking this away has to do with workload pressure on servers.

Still, searching and finding data in very long threads should be easier.  I know we can still search within threads but the results are limited to very few hits when there are many more matches available in the thread.

Just my 2-cents.  Thanks for the awesome forums.  Not sure if there is a better place to post comments like this.  Please let me know.

Use Google.  Just add site:bitcointalk.org to the end of your query.

I do that frequently and have really good success but it's not the same as being able to thoroughly dissect extremely long threads... google comes up short in that department.  I was just so much more capable when I could scan through the enormous threads here word-by-word to easily see things in context.  I just lament over the loss of that search capability.

I have delved into the advanced search features but it's still not nearly as good as being able to download the entire page.  Not sure if adding a download thread feature is feasible or if that would be the same type of workload as printing to a web-page.  Maybe we can take up a collection to pay for additional download bandwidth.
