It sounds kind of funny to me whenever I read stuff about projects seeking investors or teams from random folks online. Aren't genuine projects poaching their team members from reputable sources and among those who've already proved themselves capable and investors choosing their projects because they find them viable and not coerced into it? Of course, my antennas are already up as usual; knowingly that this is more likely to end up as a shitty project than it's not.
How will investors find my project? I want to know where they can find them. Any websites, groups, etc.

I'm almost completely sure if you really have an ultra-good idea, you won't have a problem finding investors. The way in which you present the whole matter will have the greatest influence on the success itself.
I still believe that this forum can be a good starting point, for presenting an idea and expanding the community and people interested in your project. Certainly, first of all, you have to thoroughly research the existing market, maybe your innovative idea is not so unique.
Market your project to them.
