PageRank is DEAD from 2-3 years. Much more actual today are Domain authority and Page authority as score ranking.

PageRank is far from dead. As someone who studies algorithms, I can say that there is much more value in PageRank than in other algorithms because of its flexibility and the different variations and adaptations that are implemented by search engines such as Google. Sure, the vanilla PageRank may be too straightforward and abusable, but the entire point of it being this simple is to build more on top of it. This lets different search algorithms be created on top of PageRank that do not necesarily act in the same way.

PageRank isn't dead my friend, the little toolbar that displays in your browser was removed, that's all. PageRank is still the primary metric used by google search.

First thing first, we would love to know about your successful projects before. Regarding pagerank, bog G has long ago hidden the pagerank from public. For many years it was not updated in public until they announced that even the PR api unavailable for anyone. There are speculations however that the pagerank algorithm is still there and Google uses it as a secret factor for ranking pages.
To get a mathematician to decode the algorithm which is not in public domain would require someone who can hack the Google database and it may take upto generations to get them, and even by the time they achieve to get them, perhaps it will be a part of pre historic relevance.
Since you are planning something akin to Google, instead of copying it, why can't you think out of the box and and bring out something better than them with your own algorithm not dependant on any third party search engines?

I'm aware of all that, as I used to do SEO for years and ran an SEO firm. The PageRank concept is not as closed as you think it is. It simply is a citation algorithm whereby a voting weight is given to a link which effects the PageRank of the receiving link. It's not as simple as that but most of how it works is public knowledge. But I'm sure you already know this if you're in SEO.

My idea has nothing to do with Google search or their PageRank algorithm. I'm searching for someone who has expertise in the mathematics behind PageRank since that same skillset will be relevant to my new idea.

I have an idea that I believe will revolutionize science publication and potentially turn into something akin to Google. I'm looking to partner with a mathematician who can help design the algorithm with the ideas provided by myself and potential science partners. None of us will be working for money, this will be an equity split with a potential ICO one day. Please PM me LinkedIn and your qualifications/knowledge about search ranking algorithms, as I have no time at all for scammers etc. My expertise is in innovation, startups, and marketing. I've run successful projects before.

Thanks.
