That actually looks awesome. Now that I'm actually back in the Bitcoin community, I am looking forward to buy a hardware wallet and this project has everything I ever wanted for an wallet. (Even the USB design)

Safe guarding my bitcoins + OTP? You can count on me for the crowdfunding!

Could you give us a price estimate on how much this is going to cost in an initial phase and when is the crowdfunding happening?

Bookmarking this thread. And please take the project forward!

Thanks!
The idea is to start the crowdfunding campaign in around three weeks form now with the price of around 50 euro + shipping.

Clever stuff.  Reminds me of the old Ledger hardware wallets but with added capabilities.

Some of these functions are already available on my TREZOR though, like 2fa, passwords and integration with other wallets like Electrum.  How much are you thinking it'll cost if I wanted to replace my TREZOR with it?  Also, do I get a written seed for hardware failure?

Thanks!

Yes, when you create a wallet the seed is displayed, so you can write it down. You can later restore your wallet with this seed either to another Secalot device or to a fully software Electrum wallet.

UPDATE: Our crowdfunding campaign has started. Check us out on Indiegogo! https://igg.me/at/secalot/x

Hi Guys,

I want to announce a project I've been working on for the last year -- a USB dongle that combines a hardware bitcoin wallet, an openPGP smart card, a U2F authenticator and a OTP generator.
It is completely open source with all the code and design files available on GitHub, github.com/secalot.
A prototype is ready and the plan is to start a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, and I'm collecting opinions on the device.

From the bitcoin perspective it offers a secure storage of bitcoin keys on a secure microcontroller with hardware crypto, all operations are pin protected and a press of a touch button is required to confirm a transaction. From software side it integrates with the Electrum wallet. Full bip39 hierarchical deterministic wallet is offered.

In addition the device works as a openPGP smart card, U2F authenticator and a OTP generator.

More details are available on the website, secalot.com.
