A second fully-legal on-line Bitcoin exchange has initiated operations in Thailand- more details available at: http://www.bitcoinrealmthai.com/second-fully-legal-bitcoin-exhange-opens-thailand/

Contrary to the oft-repeated, but mistaken reports that the Bank of Thailand has "banned" Bitcoin, Bitcoin use in Thailand is routine and growing. The Bank of Thailand has only declared Bitcoin to not be "legal tender" - meaning that merchants are not OBLIGATED to accept payment in Bitcoin.

Since our directory of Thai Merchants and Businesses that Accept Payment in Bitcoin was launched in February of this year the number merchants listed has grown from four to 28 - including restaurants, massage shops, tailor shops, music studios, limousine services, a craft beer brewpub, a veterinarian clinic, a florist, various IT businesses, and a business services firm offering legal and accounting services.

A healthy community of local Bitcoin enthusiasts meets weekly in Bangkok, as promoted at http://www.meetup.com/Bangkok-Satoshi-Square/

The future of Bitcoin looks bright in Thailand - the only thing lacking to really expand Bitcoin use here is the lack of easily-accessed automatic Bitcoin dispensing machines (so-called Bitcoin "ATM's"). Who will first introduce these to Thailand? Opportunity awaits!!!
